The sun is still low over the bark
The sun is still scattering its early rays over the soil, bitter and tart; in the low light, bergamots dance above the glistening dewdrops of basil-tinged oranges. The frost glistens almost white on the mulchy bark, evaporating in delicate threads of matchstick smoke, drifting in the mist between the trees. Vanilla blossoms fall like snowflakes, distant, scattered, lost. The forest is still very still in the morning. The mist shimmers warmly over leathery backs that still rise and fall asleep. Gradually, the old bark awakens, still damp and soft as it dries, quietly breathing in the scent of tart herbs, of soft, ethereally resinous balsam, of earth and withered fruit through the wood shavings beneath the dried lichen. Her eyes close contentedly and let the image shine on her eyelids.

Since Hans-Georg Staudt's fragrance manufactory moved to the Loft am Eisenhaus in Arzbach, a lot has happened in terms of new releases. Chizza's blog "MGO is back - a detailed test" provides a nice overview of this.
One of the new creations is "Sunshine Oud", in which the eponymous sunshine glisteningly opens the fragrance with citric notes (bitter orange, bergamot), supported by tart, bitter aromas of basil, as if the notes lay like a white blanket of frost on rotten, bark-mulchy, slightly matchstick-smoky oud chips, still a little minty at the beginning, they gradually also bring wild leathery, earthy-resinous aromas to light. A delicate, musky animalism resonates subliminally, softened by restrained notes of vanilla blossom, before the labdanum in particular expands the spectrum in the base to include woody, earthy, mossy, minimally dry-fruity, tart, herbaceous, balsamic, warm and soft resin notes, while always allowing the mulchy oud to take precedence, merely supporting it. The low rays of the sun project the balanced scent of the bark moderat over many morning hours.
