The Millennium Falcon is unfortunately running on low power today!
Anyone familiar with Police fragrances knows that we are generally not talking about the top tier of perfumes here.
So nothing new: and unfortunately, this scent is no exception. As usual: a rather interesting bottle, not incredibly expensive, with a content that is not necessarily bad but doesn't make you cheer either.
I had the chance to take a look at and test this fragrance for the first time today, and as usual, it was unfortunately not a revelation, which is why I will wrap this up quite quickly.
About the bottle: I was so excited when I first saw this advertisement - great idea! I absolutely wanted to have this falcon in my collection, following the motto "screw the scent"! ;D But unfortunately, unfortunately, unfortunately, plastic. The worst kind of plastic! It looks quite bulky, like those typical low-budget made-in-China items. Not very graceful.....
The scent: The fragrance pyramid sounds quite promising, but everything feels poorly executed. Artificial aromas with no nice transitions: it unfortunately just follows sweet on sweet on sweet. No edges, no corners. What is totally missing, in my opinion, is that one accord that pulls you out of this sweet delirium - just a bit of variety! The advertisement wants to sell us this scent as dominant, direct, and aggressive. Unfortunately, I can't sign off on that - maybe the Police icon just had a bad day ;)
All in all, a typical Police fragrance. It doesn't help to measure this scent against the "Babos" of the perfume league, because then you would have to tear it apart. But I also believe that Police has no intention of stealing any target audience from designers with its fragrances. It remains what it is: a bottle (falcon) filled with mediocrity for a medium amount of money :)
Not a proud eagle circling its prey - more like a pigeon trying to snatch a piece of breadcrumbs in the pedestrian zone :D
If I get the chance to get my hands on the Intense Edition, I will gladly do so. The concept has potential, in my opinion.
