Simple but impressive

My entry into the world of niche perfumes!

The relationship between me and this fragrance got off to a bumpy start but ultimately led me into the broad field of fragrances.

I became aware of this fragrance through an ad, and through reviews and introductions, I was almost ready to blindly buy it. Thank goodness I didn't. I was in Paris for a short vacation and discovered this fragrance in a perfumery. Excited as I was, I sprayed it on a test strip and couldn't believe it. I really disliked it. This was, of course, due to my completely inexperienced nose. Disappointed, I went out and then tried two other fragrances. These were Contes du Levant and Mûre et Musc Extrême. These are of course more pleasing straight away.

How were we led to each other? Back in our familiar home country, we went on a day trip to Stuttgart, where I discovered it again. I thought to myself, it can't be, the notes read so beautifully, and before I knew it, I had him on my skin. But this time it was a completely different experience. It was exactly as I had wished or imagined it would be, so after testing it on my skin for about 3 hours, it went straight into my collection.

I explain the whole thing by the fact that this fragrance is very overwhelming for noses that have no contact with it due to the white oud.

But now to my fragrance experience. It is a special raspberry fragrance, which clearly sets the tone. However, the fragrance is also accompanied by a spicy note, which is caused by the cardamom in the top note and the white oud as the fragrance progresses. Of course, this is a synthetic ingredient and cannot be compared with normal oud. However, for me, this fragrance is the perfect scent for spring, as it simply puts you in a good mood.

In conclusion, I can only say that this is one of my absolute favorites and I am glad to have dared to try it again. It also doesn't have a complicated DNA, but is quickly understood and convincing. H/S are kept perfect in my opinion, as otherwise it becomes too overpowering with the pungent note described.
