Jasmine - tamed and suitable for everyday use
I've been on the hunt for the (for me) perfect jasmine scent for a while and had high expectations for "Jasmin Paradis". In my collection there are already some jasmine fragrances, many of which belong to the category "headache jasmine" and are rather my personal Vergüngen after a cozy bath in the evening. A jasmine blossom on the bush smells beguilingly heavy, sweetish, wicked and almost meditative. In the office, no one would be happy about it.

Therefore, I was looking for a jasmine scent that is somewhat lighter and fresher combined and that you can definitely wear during the day without scaring away sensitive noses. In addition, I am not a great friend of oud, vanilla or tonka fragrances, which are often combined with jasmine.

Jasmin Paradis by Elisire was my first blind purchase. A bottling was nowhere to be found and the fragrance composition looked enticing. A citrusy prelude, jasmine and a little tea, you can not go wrong, right?

The bottle is beautiful, ellegant and noble. The price steep. The first impression is not as citrusy as I had hoped, I smell mainly neroli in combination with a light orange blossom and some bergamot. I can't sniff out the grapefruit. Granted, I love citrusy scents, but I don't like this top note. It seems kind of discordant, but it's also over quickly and gives way to a nice, light jasmine scent with a slight mate note. The jasmine is soft and unobtrusive, like you might notice it on a balmy summer day with a breeze from a little distance.

"My" jasmine fragrance, nevertheless, it is not. I would not say that the blind purchase was a mistake. The fragrance is definitely suitable for everyday and office use and is unlikely to bother anyone. But the jasmine lover should be missing that certain something. The jasmine is tamed and subdued, only a shadow of its former self. I like to sniff my wrist and feel reminded of the real jasmine scent, but nothing more.

Voom incense I notice in the drydown nothing, the scent remains floral-creamy, close to the skin and can still be smelled in the evening. A recommendation for all who love jasmine, but looking for a light alternative for the day.
