Splish Splash - traded with lemons
This is actually more of a makeshift comment that shouldn't be held to high expectations. After all, I only received the shower gel of this scent - the liquid spray version was unfortunately no longer available. But I think a comment on the shower gel is perhaps still more meaningful than no review at all.
What I liked less is the fact that this shower gel comes across as relatively subdued. Everything else I've ever poured into my hot bathtub developed a pleasantly comforting scent cloud that I could still perceive well before my bathroom with the door closed. Here, absolutely nothing. Well, maybe a few citrus molecules were floating around, but they hardly reached my nose.
And even though I diligently lathered myself with the stuff, hardly anything olfactorily stuck. It hardly became foamy at all. I know that Korres places great value on natural ingredients (which niche brands don't these days?), but when so little radiance comes through, it's quite concerning. And when something did penetrate, it simply smelled - surprise, surprise - of citrus notes.
It seems I wasn't the only one trading with lemons, but so was Korres - even though the test certainly doesn't reflect on the Eau de Toilette or Cologne or whatever. Anyone offering something so insubstantial in this uncool test sprayer can hardly hope for great success. That this citrus is now discontinued doesn't surprise me at all, and no one will miss it.
