Where is my car?

Where is my car? - comes to mind when I think of the scent. A few years ago, a good five or six, I ended up in a small Franconian town with a friend (who I'm unfortunately no longer friends with, but that's another story). We parked up and went out to eat. Impatient as I am, I ran into the drugstore near the parking lot while we waited for the food. I bought the usual drugstore stuff that you buy and walked past the perfume shelf. The fragrances in drugstores aren't that great. But I like walking past them because they are always so colorful and I like that. You also find fragrances that you wouldn't normally think exist, or you think they haven't existed for a long time. Well, I look down at the shelf and see this modest little green box. Something around 12 euros. Elisabeth Arden. I like Elisabeth Arden and I'm one of those people who used to use the Eight Hour Cream (anyone remember that?). So I picked up the box and because I used to like the Bvlgari with the green tea so much, I sprayed some of the tester on myself. WOW! I was blown away. A very simple, very fresh fragrance with a radiantly clear statement. One that simply takes you somewhere very quickly, somewhere where everything is great and there is no dreary everyday life. As my previous author writes, it feels like being in a spa. I can relate to that. I topped up my food again and because you're sometimes stingy with things that are cheap, I went out to eat. I ate, jumped in the car and drove off. Stop in the middle, turn around, go to the market and buy the bottle. My ideal car perfume. In summer, on long hot journeys, spray and immerse yourself in the freshness. In winter, on long dull drives, spray and feel the freshness and the spring that lies ahead. A very simple fragrance with a great effect. I only recently found out that it was designed by Francis Kurkdjian. Well, great designer, great price. After years in the car, the bottle was empty and I had somehow forgotten about it until I was in a drugstore again last week, looked in the bottom row and this time I wasn't stingy. My compartment in the car is now empty and the fragrance is sitting on my desk. It refreshes me with its great citrus scent and somehow I always think back a little sadly to the good friend I lost.
