She is absolutely beautiful, an instant favorite.
Starting with the bottle: it's gorgeous! It does look reminiscent of a jeweled turtle in a way; at any rate, the bottle alone is divine.
And now to the fragrance:
AHHHHH, gorgeous! I'm glad that this was gifted to me as I likely would never have thought to buy it myself had I only found FF here and seen the notes pyramid first. And I would have missed out! This fragrance is lovely to me. I agree that she does read more as a woody-floral than an oriental as neither the pink pepper nor the incense is domineering; none of the notes are out of balance, in fact. I adore the spicy, warm, sweet and floral fragrance!
Regarding the gorgeous, spicy pink-pepper, if Lancome's Miracle works for you, you might give Fendi's Furiosa a go.
This is a very well-blended, beautiful and warm fragrance, just gorgeous! I was already wearing Shalimar EDP when I received this on Christmas Eve and found that she melded right in beautifully. Now that I'm wearing her on her own, though, she's even more beautiful. FF sweetens as she dries down, soft, warm, closer and as comforting as combed cotton.
I'm gobsmacked that FENDI fragrances are (albeit recently) discontinued. (It's face-palm-worthy).

Fragrance: 10/10: woody, sweet, spicy, elegant, feisty, unique, gorgeous!!!
Sillage: Soft to Huge, depending upon application.
Longevity: Moderate or better, also depending upon application.

ETA: THIS is my new heroin. I'm devastated that she's been discontinued and am praying that SOME company (looking at Elizabeth Arden and Parfums International) will purchase the license to continue creating this elegant masterpiece of inimitable, flawless perfumery.
You know that frantic, panicky "I must get as much of this as I can!" feeling? Yeah, I have that going on with specific regard to Fendi's Furiosa. To the point of tunnel vision, and will likely select backups of this as my anniversary present.
It's THAT good. In fact, I'm kind of reticent about sharing the experience for fear of this unicorn disappearing from store shelves far too quickly.

Peppery stuff
A strange, unexpectedly unpleasant composition. But hey, it is a matter of taste and when talking about perfumes we are seldom objective.
In a few words , there is no freshness, no floral scent. Just a strong pepper like smell unaccompanied by anything. I mean anything. No jasmine no bergamot no frankincense.

Sometimes I want to be with you.....
that's what goes through my mind when I think of Furiosa, it is beautiful and unusual. And I think of a perfume to which this title would surely bring joy, right? And the rest of the readers now have the song in their heads, whether they want it or not :o)

Furiosa, do I want to be with you?

The scent starts off sparkling with pepper, the bergamot gives it a citrus note. Quite quickly, gardenia and clove join in. But wait, that’s not a clove, it’s the stock flower, it has a rather strong and spicy scent, very similar to clove. One variety smells particularly intense at night, which one I have forgotten. My father, the gardener, would have thrown the Latin name at me. If I hadn’t read the ingredients in the pyramid, I would have thought it was clove. I’m just not the floral truffle pig, my nose is more for the coarse. I quite like Furiosa so far, but then the jasmine comes in and the peppery sparkle recedes a bit in favor of a sweetness whose origin I can’t quite identify and which is a bit sultry. This diminishes the pleasant scent for my nose. Wood grounds the fragrance in the base, I can hardly perceive the incense, a bit more would have done Furiosa good.

Furiosa is an elegant and spicy, slightly powdery floral, very well lasting and with quite a strong sillage. The bottle is unusual and of high quality, I like it. And I agree with the classification as a women's fragrance.

Will it stay? I’m not sure, I will apply it generously and all day tomorrow (so 3 sprays) and see if I can live with the sweetness and the jasmine. And what Mr. Pluto thinks about it, he has to live with it too.

Fantastic! Fluffy! Furious!
When I applied this fragrance, I immediately felt the urge to snuggle into a plastic fur, in other words, a faux fur coat. I would never wear real fur.

Especially in this May, which really wanted to be a November, filled with Corona, social distancing rules, and face masks.

I was in the mood for something different. My collection is mostly (with a few exceptions) dominated by cool, completely joyless chypres. The kind a woman can always use to signal distance from her surroundings. Gourmands are not found there, and that will remain the case. But a real oriental with some serious punch? So many are just a sad shadow of their former selves.

I looked at my "Had I" list and thought of Asja and Theroema by Fendi. If you can even find them, it’s only at astronomical prices. AND then there’s "Furiosa"! Gardenia, stock, jasmine? Still available at moderate prices on a... for a blind buy in a fit of madness? Some people might not like gardenias, but they always get me. If it turns out to be a bad purchase, I’ll survive, and my eldest daughter also likes those nostalgic powerhouses.
Although, Furiosa isn’t really that nostalgic. Still, the pyramid is the purest understatement. I bet my fangs that there’s more in it than what’s stated. After 10 minutes, it had me. It practically blew pepper under my scales.
Then the fragrance plants really take over, which smell the most intoxicating. Gardenia sets the tone and doesn’t give up. I used to always have gardenias, but they have certain requirements. They like to be in partial shade, and the temperature should never drop below 18°. But a gardenia on the windowsill scents the entire room, and you can do without Febreze or other chemical air fresheners.
Stock flowers are wonderful cut flowers. A bouquet on the table serves the same purpose.
Frankincense? Well, and why not! I hardly notice it. Just a warm, woody note after a loooong time.

By the way, I ordered a Gardenia jasmonidis. When it arrives, we’ll sit on the windowsill and make fun of Febreze.

Dame 2018
Olfactorily speaking, I seem to have stopped in the early 90s.
I love that touch of luxury in oriental heavy and dull fragrances with multi-layered scent pyramids. They can be feminine, and just the gentle tapping of the stoppers of expensive perfumes from their noble bottles could comfort me through many superficial sorrows. A time when there were perfumed powders and creams for every classic perfume, and scent was celebrated in every form.
At some point, I stopped adding current fragrances to my collection. I rarely bought - more out of sentimentality - the occasional new scent from my favorite perfumers. Most stand barely used, like stepchildren, among the coveted bottles from old times, while I am still on the hunt for "vintage originals."
Yes, the new, the contemporary is often too fresh and aquatic, then again, instead of depth, just sticky sweetness, affectionately referred to as gourmand. No more complexity; with most fragrances, I can hardly sense a scent pyramid anymore and have to read up on what is supposed to develop from what. On top of that, the lack of love and imagination in some bottles reminds me more of mouthwash and hair water bottles. I don't even want to talk about all the sad reformulations.
And once again, I am searching for something old. This time it's Asja by Fendi, and in the process, I stumble upon the chic bottle of Furiosa Eau de Parfum by Fendi. I like it, and I immediately check the Parfumo comments. I first come across a comment from "Gold" and read about an unfair niche existence and then about jasmine and gardenia. Well, that sounds like something for me, and I quickly place an order.
There it is now in front of me, truly a beautiful noble bottle, metallic adorned with a glowing content, and it is just to my taste.
With the first spritz, I smell a finely tuned fresh lively scent that awakens me and sensitizes me for the heart of the fragrance. The top note lasts just long enough, and then the wonderful bouquet of jasmine and gardenia unfolds, lovingly replacing the citrusy bergamot. From fruity, it becomes floral in abundance. What remains is the wonderful base of warm amber and gentle incense, which does not become musty and which I can perceive for hours. A great scent, which is supposed to be my bridge into the new millennium. I feel awakened like a vampire.
Goodbye, you Aquarians with your sneakers and multifunction jackets. Adieu vanilla, cocoa, and lavender so sweet like a paradise apple along with your eyelash extensions and fake nails.
Bring on the well-tailored suits, long leather gloves, elegant pumps, and handbags. A fur collar as a lapel where the scent lingers would not be bad.
And as I get carried away, I think that this scent will soon be off the market again, and I do something I never do - I immediately order another bottle.

What a powerhouse! I bow down before you. If you love opulence and want to stand out, that’s it. Polly is just too small for that.

Pretty fierce, this one.
Strong and elegant.
The flowers take center stage.
There's not much more to it.

Creamy gardenia
One of the few flowers I like in fragrances.
Softly woody undertone.
Not earth-shattering,
but quite nice.

A rather unconventional, opulent, and not overly sweet floral scent, classy in the best sense. It doesn't provoke anger, but rather great delight.

Warm gardenia stylishly adorned with pepper on sweet-precious wood. There's also a cheeky herbal note hidden. For the fierce lady.

A quirky but also exciting floral scent. Stock flowers have a rather unique smell. Is that it? Almost a bit strong: I like it!
