Winter in Scandinavia with 11/10 Marketing
My first Ffern, which I discovered like many others through the very interesting marketing concept. Initially skeptical, it was worth it to me, and so I received the Winter25 through the Ledger System.
The package arrived, and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Not only the marketing but also the execution is extremely well done. Goodies like the matching tea for the fragrance, a handcrafted scent plaque to hang up, and a poster specially designed for this scent are included. A sheet with all the ingredients used for Winter25, including countries of origin, bottling date, storage temperature, maturation environment, etc., provides a transparency I have never experienced with a manufacturer before.
The included items alone make it clear what mood the fragrance is trying to convey.
The intention to reflect a Scandinavian winter chill in a snowy forest with frozen lake surfaces is also olfactorily evident. A scent that, combined with the presentation, is hard to surpass in brilliance.

For someone who does not like green citrus, the fragrance was incredibly beautiful. Balanced, not piercing, fresh, and above all cozy, without any strictness that one might associate with a "cool winter scent." Logically, Winter25 is very natural, but perhaps that's why there was this one catch: After just about 10 minutes, this stunning scent journey into wintery Scandinavia was already over on my skin. What remained in the next 2 hours was merely a flat citrus note. Perhaps Winter25 and I are just chemically incompatible? Because the Scandinavian winter water lacks no sophistication.

I ultimately returned the bottle, as €109 for only 10 minutes of wow (in my case) is a bit much. For those for whom the scent lasts longer and develops better, the composition is unbeatable, and the price more acceptable. I am already looking forward to the second attempt for the spring release...

Breathing Easy in Sweden
The fragrance transports you to the idyllic nature of Sweden, right after a relaxing sauna session. The cool, fresh air of the snow-covered forest meets the soothing aromas of a warm tea. A citrusy lightness unfolds gently and clearly, as if the first snow were melting on a fragrant lemon zest.

Refreshing and invigorating at the same time, this scent radiates a deep inner peace, like a moment of tranquility as winter slowly reveals its magic. The balance of citrus notes and cool freshness is perfect for those who love clear, authentic fragrances and seek the pure spirit of nature in a perfume.

An elevated, calming experience, the scent of peace and freshness.

Eucalyptus Wreath and Lemon Tea
Finally, I've made it onto the Ffern list and I felt like a little child waiting for the first fragrance delivery - Winter 25!

I must admit, the unique marketing makes the scent an incredibly beautiful overall experience. The unboxing experience has been crafted very skillfully and with great care; you can tell that a lot of passion and heart has gone into the brand and fragrances, and that alone makes Ffern special to me.

Citrusy, yes, Winter 25 is definitely that - but contrary to many other opinions, I don't find it spring-like/summery at all. For me, the eucalyptus comes through very strongly - it even plays the main role in my little mental movie: I just tied a wreath made of eucalyptus branches and hung it as decoration on my wall. With a hot cup of lemon tea in hand, I admire it contentedly. When I take a sip, I still smell the eucalyptus on my hands. I opened the window to let some fresh air in, and the icy wind carries the scent of the forest inside, the snow-covered mossy ground.

For me, the scent really lasts all day. Maybe I'm just very sensitive, as I generally wear very few citrusy or eucalyptus-heavy fragrances - a very small amount is enough for me to perceive the unusual scent very prominently.

To be honest, I'm still a bit undecided about whether the eucalyptus might be a bit too much for me…

The Enchanting Journey Home
It is winter. The snow is falling. I just spent hours in the sauna enjoying various infusions. I also sat in the fire sauna. Then I showered with my favorite soap and applied my favorite cream. Now I’m sitting in the car driving home. The entire interior smells like me, like sauna, like shower, like cream. I’m looking forward to a warm tea at home.

This image immediately came to my mind when I smelled this wonderful fragrance. My first Ffern. But definitely not my last! Spring? I’m curious to see what you have to offer.

Like a Delicious Skin Cream
Fresh, citrusy rose scent. A hint of vetiver and leathery cedar that I notice upon closer sniffing. I actually like it quite a bit. But: It smells exactly like a certain, very delicious organic skin cream - I need to research which one, it’s either from Lavera, Weleda, or Dr. Hauschka, the composition is definitely very familiar to me. This makes the perfume just too expensive, as the cream costs maybe a maximum of €15, and the sillage of this perfume for over €100 is so weak for me that a skin cream could deliver the same scent result.
Aside from that: a winter scent that indeed smells like winter, instead of presenting something exclusively warm against winter like classic winter fragrances do.

I always reach for this on cold but sunny days. Opens with cool but gentle citrus, mellowing out into creaminess. Unique and lovely.

Outdoorsy, but not quite adventurous.

These are all similar, ephemeral, and smell like potpourri. Very clever, twee marketing and packaging with the teas, videos, etc.

A warm winter that has surprisingly allowed many citrus fruits to bloom. Amidst nodding mint, a hint of Cologne.
