Winter in Scandinavia with 11/10 Marketing
My first Ffern, which I discovered like many others through the very interesting marketing concept. Initially skeptical, it was worth it to me, and so I received the Winter25 through the Ledger System.
The package arrived, and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Not only the marketing but also the execution is extremely well done. Goodies like the matching tea for the fragrance, a handcrafted scent plaque to hang up, and a poster specially designed for this scent are included. A sheet with all the ingredients used for Winter25, including countries of origin, bottling date, storage temperature, maturation environment, etc., provides a transparency I have never experienced with a manufacturer before.
The included items alone make it clear what mood the fragrance is trying to convey.
The intention to reflect a Scandinavian winter chill in a snowy forest with frozen lake surfaces is also olfactorily evident. A scent that, combined with the presentation, is hard to surpass in brilliance.
For someone who does not like green citrus, the fragrance was incredibly beautiful. Balanced, not piercing, fresh, and above all cozy, without any strictness that one might associate with a "cool winter scent." Logically, Winter25 is very natural, but perhaps that's why there was this one catch: After just about 10 minutes, this stunning scent journey into wintery Scandinavia was already over on my skin. What remained in the next 2 hours was merely a flat citrus note. Perhaps Winter25 and I are just chemically incompatible? Because the Scandinavian winter water lacks no sophistication.
I ultimately returned the bottle, as €109 for only 10 minutes of wow (in my case) is a bit much. For those for whom the scent lasts longer and develops better, the composition is unbeatable, and the price more acceptable. I am already looking forward to the second attempt for the spring release...
