complex amber
Yria seems pretty unknown here in the US, even though other Yves Rocher scents are fairly common. I'm guessing that what I'm judging to be rich, multilayered scent may not come across so well to someone who dislikes the original Opium, Ungaro Diva, and other powerhouses of the 1970s and 80s.

Surprisingly, though there are several floral notes here, I don't register any of them separately. Instead, I smell a complex ambery chord that grows more intense for the first half hour, then levels out and sticks around for hours and hours. Those who are not patchouli fans may want to try this because of the patchouli's excellent role as a supporting player. It's necessary here, but unobtrusive. The most notable aspect to me is the coriander, which provides interest and lightness to the composition and sticks around throughout. A couple of spritzes can last for 10 hours easily on me.

I wear this a lot for warmth on winter nights.

Classicly Beautiful
This is lovely. It smells far older and more expensive than it is. It smells more fifties or sixties to me than eighties because it's well-blended, and it's not "big" like a lot of eighties fragrances. It's present, but it's not shouting. It's feminine and sexy. Amber is one of the main notes; the floral notes also stand out. The spices aren't strong players, especially the patchouli.

Standard lady's perfume aspiring to be an oriental fragrance with a vanilla trail-off...
Many of the good old proven essential oils are to be found here, producing a pleasant scent for the ladies, but the only mark of distinction is the slight oriental flair. Jasmine and Rose seem to be low-key, however.

I think the lily, coriander and patchouli are critical in this fragrance. I noted sillage and longevity to be a little below average. The bottle has a cap which is extremely fiddly, not a good idea.

Overall, I rate Yria a modest 50%; I would have gone to 55 if possible.

Nice classic perfume
When you bring the aroma to your nose, you can feel the aroma of the sea breeze, very pleasant and refreshing. As soon as I applied the perfume to my hand, I smelled tangerine and bergamot, and when the alcohol settled, I began to smell coriander. A very rich spicy aroma, with the elusive softness of mandarin. Rose, gardenia, jasmine and lily of the valley open in the middle. Very pleasant, floral, soapy scent. And at the end, sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla and tonka bean begin to smell. Woody aroma, with notes of vanilla sweetness and herbaceousness.

who disturbs my fragrance peace?
Back then, they were an affordable alternative to the many brand and designer fragrances; today, they are still worth a test, a closer acquaintance: Many of the vintage scents from the company Yves Rocher.
They were not mere copies; they were independent fragrance personalities in the spirit of the times.
Many of the newer creations no longer convince me as much, although they are all very pleasant and wearable.
But the "Old Ones" - ah! They had a certain something!

In "Yria," this "certain something" seems to start with coriander, as I too must first overcome this hurdle accompanied by ripe citrus fruit aromas.
Fortunately, this note is quite fleeting on my skin; in fact, the entire top note is only "passing through": Whether this was planned from the beginning or is due to the age of my two minis, I do not know.
However, "Yria" has a beautiful floral heart, lovingly composed, where the intensely fragrant white flowers gardenia, jasmine, and lily of the valley (Hello, my little white scent friend!) unfold richly and even give space in their fragrance orchestra to the subtle magnolia blossoms and the noble rose ladies: Thus, a full sound of harmonizing fragrance notes is created, quite in line with the even more opulent times of the last turn of the century.
A bit of the past's shine has been carried over here.
This also characterizes the classic base with its many familiar faces:
Warm vanilla and tonka bean accents enjoy the warm, sensual embrace of a fine animalistic, earthy blend of sandalwood and golden-brown patchouli.
The final touch is given to "Yria" by a well-measured amber smoke note.

I am known to love fragrance characters with edges and corners; anything too "softened" and "pleasing" often bores me.
But with "Yria," I had to arrange myself for a while; perhaps that's why the fragrance was quite at the end of my Yves Rocher fragrance comment list.
It is not due to sillage and longevity; these are in the normal average.

We got to know each other, greeted each other, and we will not become "good friends."
But I am sure that "Yria" found and finds a place in the hearts of fragrance lovers:
As is well known, in the world of fragrance, "every pot finds its lid"!

Mysterious name,
hiding a veil of spices..
Self-tanner!
Anyone who has ever tinted their chalky legs with it knows the scent.
Unpleasant.

Spicy bomb with a floral heart and a solid woody-balsamic base. Reminds me of "Santal Cardamom" by YSL, just a bit sweeter.
Nice!

Yria lasts quite well in these temperatures. Perfectly recommended for the evening. Even after many years, it has held up great.

Yria was the answer to Allure Chanel EDP. Floral, sweet, vanilla with a slight bitterness. A very exquisite scent, sensually refined.

An oriental fragrance that impresses with its floral notes: all white and each one seductively fragrant! Elegantly composed on a noble base.

Never been my thing, too spicy, heavy, and strange. I only like a few orientals, and this one definitely isn't among them.
