Nature Yves Rocher 1994 Eau de Toilette

This fragrance is pleasant, but I have to admit that I like it far more than I love it. It's a bit weak when it comes to sillage and longevity. It basically smells like you think it would from reading the notes: the mandarin note isn't strong though. It would make a great work scent because it's inoffensive.

For a change, I took another look into my little bag of perfume miniatures.
I was looking for something green, but in a lighter shade of green (it shouldn't feel like a walk in the woods) and found the entire "Nature" family from Yves Rocher: Eau de Toilette, Parfum, and "Coeur de Nature".

The Eau de Toilette quickly made me feel more than twenty years younger and brought with it an early summer day.
How lovely! Because it has been raining here since the early morning hours: with no sign of improvement in sight!
So, this expected green and I will take on the weather!

Already with the first spray, I encounter wonderful freshness: a large glass of mint tea with a good splash of mandarin!
The mandarin clings and tingles a bit, sweet-sour and very lively.
The mint - probably of the "green" variety - brings a pleasant spiciness. This mint is not as strong and dominant in aroma as the well-known peppermint.
Instead, it is the kind that you can hardly get rid of in the garden and on the balcony!

It reminds me of a "laughing" lantern in dark foliage at the summer festival.

In this green freshness, the lily of the valley mixes in; a large nest of these beloved white flower spikes must have been the inspiration here.
This lily of the valley is not musty or stinky: it radiates white and pleasantly earthy-sweet and skillfully nestles into the green freshness, which forms the interesting entrée here.
Up to this point, it is a pleasant early summer scent, but without any depth.
However, this changes when oak moss enters the fragrance stage: the mossy-heavy depth creates a very nice bed for the bright and floral-fresh opening trio.
Oak moss and lily of the valley scent - why has no one thought of this idea before?
Or did I just never notice it?
Both have sought and found each other and delight me in the "Nature" Eau de Toilette with their fragrant liaison!
A special spiciness is provided by the juniper, rounding off and concluding the composition.
Not only the well-known berries (always welcome guests in my kitchen), but also the needles support this green fragrance composition.
An interesting aroma that perhaps is used too rarely.

"Nature" Eau de Toilette brings a lot of shimmering light to this gray day!
I can clearly remember that it served very well as a summer companion.
For an Eau de Toilette, it has the expected longevity; it lasts only for a certain time, then slowly fades and wishes to be renewed. This wish is gladly fulfilled!
It may also be possible to layer floral notes later; experimenting is encouraged.

The bottle represents "green nature": it stylizes a plant part, perhaps a leaf, and fits very well with this airy fragrance being!

"Nature" Eau de Toilette by Yves Rocher is a nice early summer companion that brings a lot of joy without making any great demands itself.
I am curious to see how the other two "family members" will develop.
Of course, I will report here about my experiences with them.

I used to go to the concert - by which I meant classical music - and to the concert, which featured pop, rock, and punk.

Each genre has its validity for me, although I slightly preferred classical music because I was alone in the velvet Loge R, allowing myself to indulge in the illusion that the soloist and the orchestra were playing exclusively for me.

No one disturbed me with rustling or coughing - and my expressions of life were equally not a thorn in anyone's ear.

That takes away a certain pressure.

I could comfortably lounge in the plush seat - without receiving sideways glances, and enjoy Gulda's interpretation of Beethoven without a care in the world.

This significantly increased my well-being - and matched Gulda's wise yet unpretentious playing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gulda personally, and his uncomplicated manner reminded me once again that everything heavy should be presented lightly.
That is the art.

In keeping with the naturalness of his style, I found the green Nature leaf from Rocher in my jacket.

And it matched the clear, sparkling piano of the maestro.

Transparent like the mandarin, fresh like the mint - and bright like the lily of the valley.

I could freely oscillate in my thoughts between forest meadows, nostalgic café houses, and castle gardens - for nothing constrained me.
Even my wardrobe was, in the protection of the loge - uninteresting.

Nature and Gulda are always associated with the feeling of freedom for me.

Nature as an Eau de Toilette from Yves Rocher has been known to me for a long time.
I had it as a miniature when it was first released in 1994 and liked it very much back then.
It was considered a fresh, light, floral scent. But it’s not that light after all.
At least not in the older version as a splash bottle. Back then, there was only the pouring bottle; I don’t know when the spray version came out. My splash bottle is about twenty years old and still smells impeccable.
In the early nineties, "light," "fresh" - at least for that time - fragrances like Eternity, CK One, and Tendre Poison were very popular and modern. And it definitely goes in that direction.
It particularly seems to be oriented towards Tendre Poison.

Nature presents itself as a very floral, bright scent that, although it calls itself "Nature," still has that slightly synthetic-toxic aura like Tendre Poison or a bit like Cabotine: Very floral.
I can smell a lot of lily of the valley here with a slight citrus-minty touch.
The individual notes are tightly woven together. Oak moss is also present, not a little.
I can perceive it well on myself, so it definitely has good sillage.
My vintage version is not shy at all and lasts a solid 4-5 hours, then it becomes intimate.

I cannot yet assess how the current version is, but it is likely to have been somewhat toned down.
There was also an EdP of it, also as a splash bottle, which I remember as somewhat fresher but more austere.
Perhaps there will be a follow-up if I get to test the current version and make a small comparison to the EdP.
Anyone who finds a pouring bottle of this should grab it, especially if they liked Tendre Poison.

"Nature" is a classic all-rounder.

It combines softness, delicacy, and has a thoroughly green heart.
You can almost feel the moss under your bare feet, you can smell the spring breeze, and feel the first warm rays of sunshine on your skin.

"Nature" has a very fine, unobtrusive sweetness; lily of the valley dances around your nose, hand in hand with mint and juicy mandarins.

There is nothing annoying, unpleasant, or piercing here.
Mint provides freshness, moss and juniper add a gentle bitter touch, while lily of the valley and mandarin contribute to the lovely sweetness.

"Nature" is rounded, creamy, harmonious, and suitable for a winter Sunday brunch with friends as well as for a midsummer BBQ.
