Surprise
Förster and Johnsen's - Surprise is a surprise.I tried the scent by them and all fragrances are really woody and fresh and this one is totally different.

The beginning is really sweet, vanilla and cozy, i smell the combination of peach-vanilla-rasberry-cognac and it's not a cheap or synthetic scent. It smells really natural and the scent is warm, sweet, creamy, soft and pure. Surprise is intense but not strong or overwhelming.

You still smell it after some hours but it becomes softer and lighter. The scent reminds me at Jil Sander - Sun Delight, and Valentino - V mixed with a warm vanilla scent like Lolita Lempicka - L.
It's a cute and feminine scent for winter and fall.

The Pharaoh's Labyrinth
“Damn tomb raiders!” thought self-made Egyptologist and occasional adventurer Prof. Dr. whatever. Meggi, as he squeezed his creaking bones through a crack. “I’m getting too old for this nonsense.” Once again, a stupid labyrinth to protect some transcendent Pharaoh's household goods from greedy little fingers. And what good does that do? Most of the time, everything was still plundered. The ancient Egyptians should have invented the foundation; that would have been easier. As clearly directional and distinctly structured as these pyramids always seemed from the outside: once inside, they sometimes turned out to be a real plague. Well, he would just have to walk the paths one by one until finally one of them led to the goal. A tedious labor. Far less demanding than deciphering the tricky Carthusian code ‘1681’ a few months ago.

At first, however, he let himself sink onto a stone and pulled out his flask. Just before he could bring it to his lips, the smell made him recoil. What was that? “Damn it, I clearly said ‘Cognac.’ ‘If necessary, rum, but preferably Cognac, and please one from Doussoux-Baillif!’” After all, one didn’t treat oneself to much else. Bailif - there had been no mention of Baileys. He had nothing against Baileys; however, he considered it completely unsuitable as a little mood lifter in a dim corridor. He sighed and carefully made sure that his nose hadn’t deceived him. Then he screwed the cap back on and groaned as he got up to begin his search.

Apparently, the Pharaoh, or possibly his interior architect, had a penchant for botany. Instead of the usual walk-in-step-like-an-Egyptian images, there were paintings of plants on the walls and above the openings of the corridors. “Oh dear, I hope I paid enough attention in biology. I’d better check the corridor with the rose first; at least that’s a home game,” he murmured. Unfortunately, the path ended after just one bend in front of a massive stone block. “Well, that would have been too nice… And what’s that over there? Looks like freesias. I also recognize hibiscus and a peach.” But all possibilities ended after one or two dozen meters. The two paths marked with trees hardly led deeper into the rock and ultimately turned out to be dead ends as well.

Annoyed, the aging scholar sat down once more on a nearby chunk. The Baileys had seemed increasingly tasty to him on the way and had long since run out. Then his gaze fell on a drawing on the wall. A tiny, yellowish-white flower. He certainly hadn’t seen any of those among the other paintings; even this one was at best better scribbling. Below it was a small hole in the wall. A practiced, probing grip inside, and a large stone slid aside as if by invisible hand, revealing a man-high corridor. Its walls were densely painted with the same white flowers as the one that had marked the hidden switch. Only this time, the images were life-sized and thus - although they seemed to dance in the flickering light - easily identifiable as jasmine flowers.

After just a few meters, the corridor opened into a large chamber, also adorned with jasmine flowers on the walls in the same manner. “This is it!” There was no doubt; this was the center of it all, although nothing from the outside had indicated it. Isolated paintings on the floor depicted raspberries and vanilla pods. Strange, but well: “A secret sweet tooth, the Lord God-King. Perhaps hoping to be reborn in the land of milk and honey…” Satisfied, the researcher looked around and thought to himself: “This isn’t completely new - at least I know the wall paintings in a very similar form from the tomb of Pharaoh Tedece the Jasmine-like. Nevertheless, his colleague has managed quite a decent surprise.”

Yes, Surprise is indeed a surprise.
I expected something zesty with pretty fruits, at least at the beginning, based on the name.
That's how it goes with expectations. In fact, Surprise is a large, fragrant cloud that envelops you warmly and sweetly. It somehow makes you crave sweets, preferably with candied sugar, roasted almonds, or candied apples. And by now, the discerning reader can hardly miss the resemblance to Lolita's "L".
I love my "L" above all and would be convinced to accept Surprise as a family member, albeit not as the head of the family.
Nothing innovative, but at least well made.
Is there actually still a Christmas market open? Just asking.

I miss this fragrance so much. I remember it smelled warm, cozy, like a hug very sad that I cant buy it anymore.

Although fresh, bright, and slightly fruity, I still think of "Angel" at times (without the patchouli).
