Dirty Bergamot and Thick Licorice
This is drinking poor quality Earl Grey while sitting uncomfortably on an antique chair. There is a bowel of hard licorice candies, probably as old as the chair you are sitting in. The host is trying to get you to try one of the candies but you are trying your best to polity decline. This fragrance opens with a strong bergamot, which was traditionally used in black tea to hide it poor quality, so that makes sense because the chamomile is a dirty and earthy in an unpleasant way. I don't know why but I got a heavy licorice note that just almost overpowered the whole fragrance, making it dark and heavy.
This scent has really strong projection which is not a good thing in this case, it was often kinda sticky and cloying. This fragrance also lasted all day, over 8 hours on my skin. It looks like I got a sample before the fragrance was discontinued, but it does look like it might have cost $35 for 5ml and $110 for 20ml. I think this fragrance was discontinued for a good reason, I can't see anyone wearing this at any price point.
