TRUE CHERRY PIPE TOBACCO
This one’s simple, but oh-so-satisfying. Rich tobacco absolute swirled with juicy black cherry. Both the tobacco and cherry smell beautifully natural, not at all artificial or candy-sweet. It’s more “grandpa’s old pipe and orchard strolls” than “cherry cough syrup nightmare.”
The tobacco leans slightly moist, with a subtle menthol whisper that adds a fresh edge. Although, I suspect that cooling touch might actually be rosewood doing its thing; it has that almost-medicinal, slightly camphorous feel. Sweetness is at a comfy medium level — just enough to balance out the tart cherry, never tipping into syrupy territory.
There’s also a lovely cedar note that’s creamy and smooth. Occasionally, it flashes a touch of coconut (yep, cedar can do that sometimes!)
Rose, leather, and vanilla are technically in there, but they're more like background singers — supportive, but not trying to steal the spotlight. They’re not the stars of the show.
Overall, this is a very pretty, fruity tobacco fragrance. But — and this is key — you must love both cherry and tobacco to enjoy it. That said, it’s hands-down the prettiest tobacco in my collection. Guerlain’s Tobacco Honey is gorgeous too — but it’s like being hit by a velvet freight train. It’s intense, dramatic, and honestly, sometimes it wears you. Late Harvest, on the other hand, is gentle and demure, with a soft glow that melts into your skin chemistry.
Performance-wise? It’s mid-range. Not a beast, not a ghost. It stays close, wrapping you in a soft, cocooning scent bubble. Sometimes I feel it's a bit too simple and doesn't perform well enough for the price. That said, I didn’t pay full retail — I got it from a discounter, so it’s not a big deal.
