Cherry Candy and Liqueur
How do you test a new fragrance? I always spray once on paper and sniff it, and if I like it, then I move on to testing it on bare skin. Most of the time, I don’t even give fragrances that don’t impress me on the paper strip a chance to prove me wrong on my skin. Maybe not always the smartest idea, but it works for me, so why not.
I sprayed "Nuha Cherry Blush" on the paper tester first and after a brief moment, I sniffed it and smelled a wonderfully sweet cherry-flavored candy. Artificial flavoring, no doubt, but delicious, and in no time, the bag would be empty. I was quite excited.
So, I proceeded to test it on my forearm. Here too, the artificial sweet cherry flatters, but more in the direction of a sweet cherry liqueur. And: I have to get VERY close to fully smell it. Ten centimeters was already too far away. While typing, I can sense the cherry scent - but probably only because I know it’s there. Otherwise, I wouldn’t notice it. What a shame.
Gradually, my nose picks up a bit of woodiness and the cherry retreats a little. Vanilla can be sensed.
The bottle is elegant and hollow, the forest fairy, is it heavy! Well. It won’t be a favorite scent. More of an occasional fragrance. But for the price, it’s perfectly fine.
