Between Advent and Christmas
This year everything is different.
Advent... a time of waiting... for whom?
I am alone...
A tree? No! Not this year.
I want to escape. Where to?
My feet carry me along the familiar path into the forest.
This time it is different.
As if it has been waiting for me.
My steps slow down. They lead me deeper into the dense fir grove. Silently, it whispers comforting words into my heart. Tears roll down. They fall into the moss. I look up and see thick drops of resin oozing from the bark. They roll down the trunk and fall onto the mossy forest floor. The forest weeps with me. With every tear, my heart becomes lighter. The loneliness fades. Slowly, very slowly, I feel strength and confidence growing within me again.
My feet carry me back. In my arms, a bundle of branches, resinous, sticky. I will decorate them with lavender stars!
The door is open. I am home.

Forest Flora is an intensely resinous forest scent that starts off herbaceous and spicy, becoming more balsamic over time. It touches on dark sides but then lifts the heaviness and provides warmth.
For me, it stands at the threshold between Advent and Christmas.
