A fragrance to dream of....with feet on the ground....
Kiki is, for me, a fragrance to dream of and to live by, but not the kind of dream that lulls me to sleep; rather, it is a delicate cloud that envelops me and keeps me fully in the present.
The top note is zesty fresh and very aromatic, yet by no means sharp, not even from the blackcurrant. This appears dark berry-like, full, and a little tart, but not overly fruity or dominant.
The heart note combines the softness of geranium with a very pronounced lavender. However, this is not harsh, soapy, or too herbal, but very clear and natural. It is not a "cuddly scent," nor a moth repellent, but a perfume of the highest quality that has a clear structure, yet also gentle transitions without losing its own character.
These transitions are beautifully harmonious and flowing; the woods and the caramel note are not softeners; on the contrary, they highlight the lavender in contrast. There is no wooden severity or overly pronounced sweetness that one might expect with caramel, but a perfect balance of all nuances. The patchouli grounds it without becoming overwhelming, and the musk remains light without suffocating.
A beautiful fragrance, very memorable and quirky, that gently yet sustainably surrounds you. Very airy and yet also very well perceivable in its clarity until the end - and particularly unique and mature. The playing field is not sweetly lovely, but rather more matured....
The sillage is good to pronounced, and the longevity for me is a solid 6 hours, lovely for any season and at any place, never overwhelming or suffocating, no torment for dear colleagues in open-plan offices, but simply beautiful....and full of character.
You might find a lack of dreamy undertones in this description and the corresponding high rating. This would not suit Kiki; the fragrance speaks for itself! Kiki, mon amour...
There is a freedom of spirit that resonates......and I definitely do not want to miss that.
