Knock-out jasmine

In the UK, "Lysval" by Girard was available from "Boots", but I also spotted it in TKMAXX chains in Germany at a ridiculously low price. I believe that the first version of this perfume was launched in the 1920's. Today's version is extremely strong on jasmine and unfortunately, I don't perceive any white lily in it (other reviewers do), because I guess the scent would have benefitted from the inclusion of this flower. Anchor notes for this potent perfume are benzoin and sandalwood derived from a synthetic (my impression). I must confess that the stunning concentration of jasmine and orange blossom plus the additional flowery notes of hyacinth and freesia are too outspoken for me. This voluptuous bed of flowers wasn't made for everybody, but if you love the smell of intoxicating knock-out jasmine, do try this clinging, heady fragrance.
