Little Feet
Very little feet, my husband said when we visited his freshly born niece and, incidentally, her parents for the first time. Very small.
They will grow, I reassured him.

I brought Baby Powder as a gift for the parents, alongside the usual baby trinkets. A little hat, a little dress, and many other “-chens.”

This scent, however, put the new parents into a kind of baby-happiness trance. It smells like that powder! they exclaimed. No, like that cream! No, powdery sweet! No, creamy! And while they were still sniffing each other with many different jars and pots, my husband and I looked at this new little, sleeping person.

The hands are also very small, that she got from my sister, my husband noted. I smiled, leaned over the crib, and whispered a kiss on her rosy, chubby cheek.
This scent should be captured, I murmured. Fresh baby, completely without powder, very delicate, without shame and envy. Blissfully slumbering.

But Baby Powder is a good start.

Powder, what's bothering there?
When my children were babies, using baby powder was totally out; there were other creams and products to keep them dry. I don't even remember the reason why that was the case. Still, I know the smell of baby powder, and I used to have a shaker standing somewhere in the bathroom. So, either I'm missing the combination of powder and baby skin in my memory, or my idea of it is completely wrong: I haven't found a convincing baby powder scent for myself yet, even though I've been searching for some time. Over the past year, I've tested Bvlgari "Petits et Mamans" (poor longevity) and a fragrance in Holland (yellow bottle, turquoise stylized baby head, I can't remember the name), but none of the scents have convinced me. Therefore, it was clear in my selection that I also had to test "Baby Powder" when I finally dared to try Demeter F. L.:
The scent definitely smells like powder, but it also comes across as a bit damp and musty to me. Maybe like powder that has been stuck to the baby's suitable spot for a while? And in any case, using the scent does not evoke any positive, maternal feelings for me. The smell doesn't bother me extremely; I just find it not particularly pleasant for myself. My daughter (who doesn't like baby powder scents at all and finds the search for them silly) tried it and immediately snatched the sample. I'm always amazed at how differently the scents develop for all of us.
This was my fifth and so far last testing of Demeter F. L. fragrances. There are some that I wanted to test but couldn't get, but since none of the 5 tested scents made me burst into enthusiastic exclamations, I'll turn to other perfume brands for now and see what excites me there.
Nevertheless, I find the idea behind this brand (capturing memories through scent) simply brilliant and I'm happy for anyone who is happy with their found scent.
And as for baby powder and the emotional stirrings, maybe I'll just wait until one of my children eventually makes me a grandmother. And then I can get started! Powder away!!!

Rancid After-Scent
I ordered a whole bunch of different scents from Demeter Library of Fragrance in America. Unfortunately, ALL of them, without exception, developed a distinctly rancid smell after just a few hours. It didn't matter whether I sprayed them on my skin or on textiles. Therefore, I am very disappointed and cannot recommend the brand based on my experience.

Baby Powder smells very sweet and surprisingly strong, but also artificial - it reminds me, like MadameNez, of scented dolls from my childhood. Not a scent for me.

baby baby baby
Well, it's been a few years since I had the scent of baby and powder in my nose, so I was all the more excited when I got to smell this Baby Powder fragrance.....dreamed about it 6 years ago...oh, how lovely it was....closing my eyes and remembering the beautiful baby time once again. The scent is very true to life and really smells like baby powder......great fragrance but unfortunately the longevity isn't that great....but since the price is okay, you can apply it more often.....

80s Doll
Since I always wrap without powder, I can't even say what baby powder really smells like. I can only say that this scent is exactly like a specific doll from the company Mattel that I owned in my childhood (80s). It smells like the mother doll from the Heart Family. That was a father-mother-twin children concept that existed for a while.
I somehow like the scent. Back then, I constantly sniffed this doll because I liked the smell. Unfortunately, I find it hard to describe. It has something protective, innocent about it. I can imagine wearing it occasionally in my free time, if only for nostalgic reasons...

Fresh, clean and cozy. Smells exactly like Johnson's baby powder.

Probably the only and most photorealistic scent by Demeter. Super powdery, just like baby powder... Worth to try !

Yes, this is baby powder - but it's moreso the type of baby powder I associate with baby dolls. Feels like kissing the top of a dollhead.

More Johnson & Johnson than Penaten. A powdery-sweet, cosmetic cloud that smells lovely and gentle.
My daughter complains about its weak longevity.

Stuffy-sweet-dry powder explosion. Please keep away from your little one's mouth and nose!

If colors were scents: Pink iris powder cloud. I imagine it would be perfect for fans of Ariana Grande fragrances.

I love using it as a body spray after showering. It smells soooo good, just like sweet baby powder.

A pleasant typical baby powder scent. Dry, creamy, soft, slightly sweet. A hint of synthetic. But who cares, it doesn't last long anyway.

The characteristic powdery iris is quite similar to baby powder. Some people really like this baby scent.
