Why did you have to leave?
I knew Legendary by Harley Davidson many, many years ago. Unfortunately, like so many other fragrances, it had to go. A few years ago, I was already searching for this scent. In vain.
Back in my early teenage years, this was a scent that I "borrowed" from my father. Who doesn't know it as a child? You want to smell good and just help yourself to your parents' fragrances. I wasn't necessarily a big fragrance fan at around 13 or 14, but I loved this scent. Nowadays, this type of fragrance is no longer my number one choice, but I would buy this one again and again.
Legendary is pure masculinity. Definitely one of the most masculine scents I have had the pleasure of experiencing so far. Even though I now prefer sweet and fresh fragrances, I was totally into this one and wore it daily. Even though the fragrance pyramid doesn't look particularly extravagant, overall it was just so good. Fresh, woody, spicy, balanced, and above all, masculine. At the forefront is a fresh and pleasant wood blend that is present throughout. At the start, it is really fresh thanks to a wonderful bergamot. Added to that is a really strong spicy cypress. Cypress is usually not my fragrance note, but here it fits perfectly like a glove. Harmonious. Following the spicy wood blend is a pleasant patchouli. From start to finish, it is a great companion with high everyday usability, even though it is quite strong. It is also a great alternative for more formal occasions. For a masculine appearance, it is simply fantastic.
The performance is also very, very good. It lasts for many hours with truly impressive sillage. A typical performance powerhouse from the 90s.
Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. Why remains a mystery to me. There are thousands of fragrances that had to go unjustly. Unfortunately, there isn't really a fragrance twin for this one, as Legendary has a high recognition value.
