Starts out perfumey and generic, but the smoke in the drydown elevates it
I only put a tiny bit on because I feared it would be a beast. Turns out I was right...a tiny spray from the sample in the Discovery Set was enough! At first, it smells like the perfume section of a ritzy department store—a whole bunch of expensive scents mashed together into something perfumey and generic. It’s inoffensive, but I can’t really narrow down what it actually smells like. Here’s where it gets interesting though: After an hour, I could suddenly smell some smoke, which elevated it out of the generic and made it ten times more interesting! This surprised me because I find Hermetica perfumes to be quite linear, without a lot of development.

Rosenoud is good for everyone
Of course, Hermetica also brings a rose-oud combination to the start - what Kolelktion does not do that nowadays. Whether to please the oriental market, to wander into the shopping carts of the sheikhs jetting through the world, because the top notes usually pull well or because the sales figures are just still right even internationally - who knows.

"Verticaloud" drives in any case exactly this track and attracts here certainly the fewest Parfumos behind'm oven out. Anyone who is interested in the direction, will certainly already have his favorites and find this rather stable-boring. Which is not to say that this only titular vertical starting eagle wood makes a bad scent. Quite the contrary. It does its job well. Slightly synthetic (like almost everything apparently from Hermetica), slightly fruity (mmmmh, raspberry) and spiced with soft saffron. Wearable anytime, anywhere, European desert, Orient light. Pairs well with suits and everyday evening events. Never stands out, though. Not in the least.

Flacon: gorgeous
Sillage: as this combo is usually - good smell
Durability: see a line above - 8 hours and 23 minuetn ;-)

Conclusion: a safe, unexcited bank. Good without courage.

A very sweet oud. It feels very synthetic. This one is not for me 6/10

Generic quite nice oud. The brand feels like exceptionally well packaged quite pointless perfumes. Surface without depth.
