A warm floral
Avant et Apres by Isabey is a perfume of the fragrance family floral, warm, creamy, I ordered the fragrance with my Pafory subscription. Released in 2022, the nose behind it is Marie Schnirer.
Radiant, a fragrance for bright days. The opening is green floral, I could swear I smell citrusy bergamot, then after 1-2 minutes warm, bright and sweet floral. You can smell an opulent bouquet of white flowers. Monoi oil smells like a mixture of coconut and tiare and fits perfectly into the composition. Creamy and smooth, Ambroxan should bring in the fresh, mineral note, but I hardly smell it. Buttery, slightly tropical notes, top sillage and longevity! The brand itself offers a tasting set / discovery set with 6 fragrances. The vanilla here is balanced and subtle, the fragrance exudes classic French elegance. The bottle is beautiful, heavy, timeless, classic. Definitely a summer fragrance, but more floral than Eau de Soleil blanc. Reminds me a little of Mornings in Milano by Birkholz. Or a cooler Terracotta by Guerlain, not so sunny and warm. No sunscreen vibes and therefore also suitable for other seasons.
Not special enough for me to buy full size, but definitely interesting for a feminine fragrance collection.
About the brand:
Baron de Rothschild, a philanthropist and doctor, founded the Société Parisienne d'Essences Rares & de Parfums in 1924. The Isabey brand was born in Paris.
Not many fragrance brands can claim to have existed for 100 years.

Warm Your Skin But Better Slightly Tropical Ylang
As this is virtually impossible to sample in the US right now I felt confident enough in the description to order it blind from Isabey (plus, they offer free international shipping!) No regrets. This is a warm, slightly sweet ylang-heavy summer dream. I probably over-spray, as sometimes I go slightly anosmic to it, but it wears relatively pretty close to the skin and is fairly over-sprayer guilt free.

It's fairly linear, I get around 6 hours on skin and can eek out a work day on clothes. It also reminds me of the dry down for A Chant of the Nymph, but without any of the tropical shampoo floral elements that one has.

If you're a fan of ylang I strongly recommend this, it's slightly sweaty, warm and a little sweet. Although not at all a sunscreen fragrance it's definitely a hug on the beach.
