The "Axe Effect" from my ex
I have long known that fragrances conceal links to the past. That these links are still accessible after 13 years... Amazing.
Unsuspecting, I test this fragrance from the Pafory advent calendar directly on my skin and suddenly I'm 23 again and staying overnight at my boyfriend's and since the overnight stay was unplanned, I have to reach for his deodorant after showering. This was my first experience with a unisex fragrance, so to speak, and I loved the red Axe effect, both on me and on him, and was in no hurry to let him use his own deodorant...
And now I'm sitting here, 13 years, 2 countries and two children (not his) later and I still like the scent. This one smells even better - somehow more subtle. I love the tangerine note, in duo with the pomegranate it is beautiful... However, the fruits are constantly accompanied by other notes that give them a certain sensuality - first a load of musk (it's not listed here, but I smell it!), and then my beloved woods...
I also have no problem with the fact that I still have a few gifts from my ex in my current household - I'm not sentimental about it and only see the practical purpose of these things. But it's different with the fragrance - after all, it's linked to intimate memories that have no place in my life today. But mmmm how good it smells, and S/H are stupidly good too. I've decided to use up the sample to get rid of the "ex-effect". If I succeed, it will become a solid candidate for purchase, if not, then unfortunately it is already "occupied" by the past.
