Synthetic sour pomegranate

I was really excited for this one, but it's not for me. Smells synthetic and caused a headache. The opening on my skin was actually lactonic, which was interesting, but then the synthetic sour amber-sharp pomegranate note came through and stayed. I don't get much else. Just one note synthetic fruit scent. Disappointing :( I love pomegranate and I wanted to like this so bad...

The "Axe Effect" from my Ex

That fragrances hide links to the past is something I have long known. That these links can still be accessed after 13 years... Amazing.

Unaware, I test this fragrance from the Pafory Advent calendar directly on my skin and suddenly I am 23 again, staying over at my boyfriend's place, and since the overnight stay was unplanned, I have to reach for his deodorant after showering. That was basically my first experience with a unisex fragrance, and I loved the red Axe Effect, both on me and on him, and I wasn't in a hurry to bring my own deodorant into his place...

And now I sit here, 13 years, 2 countries, and two kids (not from him) later, and I still like the scent. This one even smells better - somehow finer. I love the mandarin note, paired with the pomegranate, it is beautiful... However, the fruits are constantly accompanied by other notes that give them a certain sensuality - first a burst of musk (not listed here, but I can smell it!), and then my beloved woods...

I also have no problem with the fact that I still have a few gifts from my ex in my current household - I am not sentimental at all and only see the practical use of these things. But with the fragrance, it’s different - after all, it is associated with intimate memories that have no place in my current life. But mmmm how good it smells, and S/H are also annoyingly good. I have decided to use up the sample to get rid of the "Ex Effect." If I succeed, it will become a solid candidate for purchase; if not, then unfortunately it is already "occupied" by the past.

My Summer Fragrance 2023

After extensively testing a variety of summer fragrances, I had almost given up hope of finding something suitable for me.
Most of the scents I tried were too citrusy, too weak, or just not special enough.
By chance, I stumbled upon Andaluiza and blindly ordered a 30ml bottle due to the price.
I was not to be disappointed.

The fragrance opens with a sweet and juicy mandarin, accompanied immediately by a pleasant scent of pomegranate syrup. In the background, I perceive a light and extremely pleasant warm wood note.
The scent progression does not change in my perception but remains consistent until the end. I find this positive, as the interplay of the few fragrance notes harmonizes extremely well.
J.U.S has managed to create the perfect summer fragrance for my personal needs. A pleasant, fruity sweetness that is neither too overpowering nor too subdued.
In my opinion, the performance is also very good. I can still perceive the scent clearly even after several hours, and I received many positive comments about the fragrance from those around me!

Love at Second Sight

So this scent really wrapped me around its finger... at first, I thought wow very fresh but unspectacular, but after a few weeks I tried it again, and then it happened! Really special and strong longevity! The fragrance has something zesty fruity and at the same time elegant that I can't really explain. I work for a confectionery manufacturer and we have a production hall where gummy candies are made - that's exactly how it smells to me when I enter the hall! Now I have this scent in a bottle how interesting.

The Andaluiza is an olfactory discovery. I have a sample from the fragrance Advent calendar by Pafory, which I - shame on me! - have already opened.
A beautiful scent: At first, I perceive fresh bergamot and fruity mandarin. Warm-woody amber and sweet-spicy saffron notes immediately join in. I also think I can smell a slight hint of herbaceous-earthy patchouli and Eso E.
Since some of these notes are not listed here, I researched on the manufacturer's website. There, a fragrance recipe for the Andaluiza is provided and confirms the scent associations.
I do not perceive pomegranate, although I wouldn't know how it should smell. I often eat the seeds of the fruit, but I don't find that they emit a special scent.
Overall, the Andaluiza is a great fragrance that smells mainly lightly spicy oriental and subtly dark-sweet on my skin.
It is definitely unisex.
