Unjustly sunk into oblivion?
I received a sample of Ultrahot with my last purchase. It was a so-called blind test, where you don't know what's inside. Instead, a sticker with a number on it adorns the bottle. If you like it, you should email the perfumery and ask. That's what it said on an enclosed note.
Normally, something like that is too much of a good thing for me and I tend to react listlessly or even wave it off.
But then I sprayed it on and lo and behold, it impressed me! So much so that I actually asked about it.
It starts as you would expect from a designer from Douglas, for example. Synthetic, somewhat pungent, but still pleasant. It becomes a little softer as it progresses. What I think I can smell from the fragrance pyramid are the iris, Atlas cedar, bourbon vanilla and amber. The incense at most perhaps in nuances.
Lasts reasonably constant for over 7 hours. The sillage is not monstrous, but I find it okay. The fragrance could certainly also be worn in the office. I would classify it as more masculine. It gives me a really good feeling.
Well, and then I look in here and see the rather poor reviews. That surprises me. If you take a closer look, you can find it for less than 90 euros for a 100 ml bottle. That used to be different. Some stores still charge almost twice as much today. That would be far too much for me. But at least I'll keep it in mind.
The fragrance is good, I won't give it a second thought.
