Good P/L - More woody or more sweet?

Great scent for the price. Very close to the old Maharaja d'Or by Rituals and cheaper. Unfortunately, I don't have a direct comparison, but I believe the similarities are over 90%.
I find "sweet" is not an accurate description - maybe someone has a more fitting word for this woody scent?
Not a successor to SoCal as it is called at Hollister.

Hollister - Bring SoCal back and keep Beach Bonfire in the lineup.

You have to spray it quite often, but the scent is then well perceived. Clear recommendation to buy -> but I would prefer SoCal!

Youthful Everyday Scent

So I walk into Hollister with my wife, and because I'm bored, I start sniffing around the perfumes.
Then this scent catches my nose, and I like it right away!

With the name, I picture teenagers on the beach who - although it's forbidden - have started a campfire, and it's slowly getting dark.

So I made a quick decision and picked it up for twenty bucks.

I find the scent DNA very nice, warm, slightly fresh, sweet, a bit woody, somewhat synthetic, youthful, not overwhelming, and - contrary to the name - not smoky. It's not a By the Fireplace then.
Something for everyday wear, for teenagers in school, perhaps as a first perfume. Wearable in any season.

Despite the good DNA, I must say that it could be stronger and longer-lasting. Unfortunately, I quickly become nose-blind to it, and it comes quite close to the skin; I would give it about three to four hours on clothing, less on skin. The sillage is present for the first half hour for me.

The progression is simple; the beginning remains consistent until the scent is completely gone.

Conclusion: A nice straightforward scent that needs more longevity, hits the youthful target audience, but unfortunately just misses the mark in terms of value for money due to its longevity.

Even though it's not listed this way, the bottle states that it is an Eau de Cologne.
