Le Mâle Pride Edition Jean Paul Gaultier 2022

I recently received several fragrance samples from a Parfumo here, with the following requirements: Fresh summer fragrance that is also suitable for the gym and everyday wear.
Included was this one with the note: It's a real insider tip and very surprising, not necessarily a "shower gel fragrance" but give it a chance.
And I haven't regretted it at all. In my opinion, the Orange Flamingo has too much floral freshness, but this one is better overall. It is not quite as strong and intrusive, but a little softer.
They start quite similarly. You can smell this fruity freshness, which subsides somewhat after around 30 minutes and turns into a pleasant floral note.
The longer you wear the fragrance, the more the typical le Male note gradually emerges in the background. Not overly or very clearly, much more something hidden far away.
This floral note becomes more restrained over time until the fragrance changes to a woody note close to the skin after about 8 hours.
I was completely surprised, after the original le Male, the others in the range didn't really wow me. This fragrance is something new, unexpected and one of my new summer fragrances. Also because not many people wear it and it's not over-hyped.
I haven't been able to smell it on a woman yet. It would be interesting to see how it develops there. I think it tends to go in a more masculine direction but is not a "macho men's leather jacket fragrance".
The price of the new edition has increased significantly. The old bottle was available for under 80€ and therefore a real bargain for such a great "niche-like" composition.
