Really Beautiful
Ah, what a sad world it would be without Peanuts Saubärblog. The most beautiful fragrances would pass me by unnoticed. *gg* ... Just like "The Key".

Our local Müller store has been carrying it for some time now. I could never really muster the motivation to test it, as I was sure I would only smell a sweet gummy bear scent. After all, J. Bieber is a star of the target group that enjoys such fragrances. And at over 40, you generally don’t really belong to that group anymore. ;-) But as is often the case, prejudices rarely serve us well. Because the scent is the exact opposite of what I expected. It is truly beautiful and fitting for the Saubärblog. And the white of the bottle fits in excellently here. It would also make a lovely bridal scent. *thinking* For anyone still looking for a wedding fragrance, this wouldn’t be a bad choice.

The first impression is white flowers, wonderfully delicate and quite close to the skin. Fruity? No, on my skin, only a hint of pear and mostly osmanthus comes through. I googled the scent of osmanthus and found this: "What distinguishes Osmanthus heterophyllus from Ilex aquifolium is the intensity of the floral scent, because although the holly flower also has a pleasant scent, the osmanthus does not carry its German name 'Duftblüte' without reason: The white flowers that appear at the beginning of summer smell significantly more intense and exude a very pleasant, sweet scent." Apparently, these are the white flowers I perceive.

In the base, the scent briefly threatens to drift into the generic. It becomes noticeably sweeter, and the freshness of the top note fades for a moment. Apparently, the water lily initially does not have the chance to assert itself against the peach nectar. After a while, it seems to have succeeded, as the scent loses some sweetness and becomes fresher and more floral again. A hint of jasmine also emerges, a rarely beautiful, fresh jasmine. Not overwhelming, not animalic or even fecal (sorry, but that has happened before). Here, even I, as a jasmine hater, like it.

The base is very soapy. I can detect woods, as well as white (!) musk, even though only "musk" is noted up top. The scent is very clean and very soapy. I perceive nothing of raspberry or vanilla.

"The Key" really surprised me. A star fragrance has been launched that is quite different from the usual suspects. It is as special as the fragrances from D.v. Teese. However, it is quite close to the skin and may be too delicate for some. It lasts well, though. I can perceive this wonderful soapy note in the base for a long time. Only after about 6 hours do I smell nothing anymore. Which is not bad for this price range. Many expensive fragrances from perfumeries don’t last any longer anyway.

A test is definitely worth it. Perhaps one or two people will also be positively surprised by this scent.

Raspberry Cream
As much as it pains me to support the brat Justin Bieber with the purchase of "The Key"... it’s just great!
I discovered it in winter 2013 and just sprayed it on for fun. You can't really expect much from that ugly bottle (though I do like the color scheme) and the name "Justin Bieber."
Wrong thought. It starts lightly citrusy, with a powdery-creamy undertone, which I really love. The scent only changes slightly over time, becoming richer, fuller, and a bit more powdery. A hint of raspberry joins in, but that’s about it. What remains is this wonderful delicacy. The white color of the bottle fits well with the content - white and fresh.
It’s a great scent for everyday wear - although I agree with Blauemaus: it doesn’t seem to be well received by the male world. My boyfriend can’t get as excited about "The Key" as I do, which is probably due to the name's association with Bieber.
Additionally, this scent lasts incredibly well on me: sprayed on at 6 in the morning, I can still smell it in the evening.

What do we learn from this? Don't judge a book by its cover! I hope this perfume stays with me for a long time and doesn’t disappear into oblivion after a year.

The key to the hairdresser
Through a special offer, I came across The Key. Right from the first spray, I liked it a lot. It was sweet and fruity, like raspberries in summer. Together with the test strip, I placed it in my shopping basket and continued my shopping. After about a quarter of an hour, I smelled the strip again. Now it smelled a bit more intense, warmer, more like woods and enchanting musk. I liked it a little less, but I was still willing to take it home. Just before the checkout, I reached for the test strip once more. Now it smelled watery, bland, and boring, resembling some fragrance substance I recognized from somewhere. It smelled like hairspray, like perfumed hairspray, a scent that greets you when you enter a hair salon. It went back on the shelf. Despite the special offer, no. Even free would be too expensive.

Creamy and Delicious
I hardly perceive the top note; from the very beginning, a sweet peach scent greets me, with a hint of something slightly citrusy and a juicy boysenberry in the background. After a while, ''The Key'' becomes more floral, with white blossoms and a bit of aquatic water lily, always accompanied by the top note.

Towards the end, it becomes quite soapy and softer, with a touch of vanilla and the white musk that has been providing a certain creaminess in the background since the start of the fragrance coming to the forefront, leaving behind a fruity afterscent of raspberry yogurt.

Flora at a bargain. Not bad.
For me, the latest fragrance from Justin Bieber smells almost exactly like Flora by Gucci.

Floral, fruity, fresh. Not too sweet.
A few fruits, but I couldn't say which, and a good portion of fresh blossoms.
I can't make out a fragrance development in terms of top-heart-base, but that never bothers me with perfumes.
It's light and friendly. Easy to wear and suitable for both work and a trip to the movies.
I think it's quite a successful "star perfume." Not a fruit puree with sugar and even more sugar.
And the bottle is significantly more stylish than those of its predecessors.
The Key, the key to an affordable Flora alternative.

I didn't expect that.

Would I buy and wear it?
If given as a gift, I would gladly accept it and probably wear it from time to time.
Buying it myself, I don't think so.

Addendum 16.12.:

Tested it again today, and it seemed a bit sweeter and also more citrusy than the first time. However, it still reminds me of Flora in terms of the base scent.

Great to wear after showering. A typical "clean scent." In my opinion, it has a high recognition value.

Fruity, creamy, floral shampoo scent! Young, well-groomed, and suitable for everyday wear. Very pleasant to sniff. A lovely choice for a star fragrance!

Based on a recommendation here in the forum, I took the plunge. I would never have bought it otherwise. It's really wow. Very similar to Alchimie/Rochas.
