Fake tan and fallen coconuts
I expected so much from Miami Glow. After being raved about constantly when it hit the shelves by fellow reviewers and then 4 years on brought back by popular demand, I assumed that this would have to be Jennifer Lopez's best fragrance to date.

Forgive me when I say that I don't understand all the fuss. Sure it smells beachy, tropical, Summery and a little like sunscreen, but aren't there enough fragrances like that already?

I unfortunately didn't sense any coconut, just grapefruit and passionfruit, followed by orangeblossom and then musk, lots of it.

I couldn't get over how synthetic this fragrance was to my nose. If it had been a sweet synthetic smell I may have liked it, but this fragrance is similar to the scent of cheap suntan lotion. Not my cup of tea at all. I must add on a nicer note, Miami Glow does have great lasting power, I guess that earns this fragrance one star from me.

Sunscreen type of beachy scent
I remember my mom had this when I was a little and I just loved it so much I had to get my own bottle! It's very beachy sand, coconut, passion fruit mix with some florals. I prefer light fragrances for summer but this one is so different and long lasting and even though it is quite strong I just needed it in my collection. My absolute favorite out of the jlo fragrances without a doubt.

The name fits
Was skeptical at first, never tried any J.Lo perfume before. I must say it is quite nice. Very fruity in the beginning, however I can't smell the coconut at all. Fruity, tropical, delicious, an easy-to-wear not too complicated scent, perfect for spring and summer days. A safe blind buy. Everything is great, except the longevity: completely disappeared in 4 hours.

Final Destination Swimming Pool
Let's blame the persistently terrible weather for my recent inability to resist fragrances that promise even a hint of vacation vibes. After circling around "Miami Glow" several times and then seeing it reduced by half from one day to the next, I was done for. I quickly grabbed a pack before others with similar ambitions could be faster than me...

I find the bottle quite cute, and upon the first spray, I'm immediately enveloped by a creamy, delicate coconut scent. Expectantly, I mentally take my seat on a plane heading to Miami, buckle up, and close my eyes as the airplane rolls to the runway. But what is this? We come to a rumbling halt again. When I open my eyes, instead of being in a fancy plane, I'm in a somewhat shabby bus.
"Swimming pool! Everyone get off, this ride ends here!" blares through the speakers. I knew it, you can never get to Miami for so little money...
Well then, off to the swimming pool. I grab my beach bag and take a look inside: ah, I have the cheap family pack of sunscreen and an aquatic shower gel, something similar to Algemarin, with me. A quick stop at the kiosk to buy some brightly colored gummy candies and maybe a Balla-Balla ice cream. Now, let's head to the grassy lounging area!

"Miami Glow" really reminds me of the scents that surround you at the swimming pool after the rather pleasant start. On one hand, it's beautifully summery, but on the other hand, it becomes a bit too artificial over time. As for longevity: definitely not a day pass! No matter, I won't be at the swimming pool for more than three to four hours anyway, and I don't want to be surrounded by this scent for longer at the moment. It remains to be seen whether I will like it better in spring, summer, or on vacation.

Coconut Water on Driftwood
I recently acquired Miami Glow, as I was looking for a light yet expressive summer fragrance. The perfume can be found for a small price at the drugstore or online. Since I love coconut, I thought that Miami Glow would suit my taste as well.

In the opening, I perceive the coconut water and the fruits as indicated. One might think it could be very sweet, but the sweetness is really kept in check, as it is, after all, coconut water and not coconut milk, and it smells just like that. Fresh and watery but still coconutty :)

The coconut water note becomes stronger in the heart, and orange blossom, heliotrope, and woods join in, giving the fragrance a sun lotion and beach character, almost as if a cracked coconut were washed ashore with driftwood.

The base consists of musk and a hint of vanilla; after about 5 hours, the Caribbean feeling slowly dissipates, and Miami Glow starts to fade, which I don’t find objectionable at this price.

For me, it is truly a lovely scent, suitable for both daytime and evening in the summer, although a touch of sweet coconut milk wouldn’t have hurt my taste, but as it is, the fragrance is not too sweet.

Woody, pleasantly sweet coconut scent that becomes more beautiful for me in the heart and base notes :-)

Fruity tropical start turns into sensual vanilla wood! Wanderlust, ocean sounds, sunset. Very high quality. Rediscovered it today! What a joy!

Sugared Fructis shampoo with powdery flowers + a few coconut flakes. Synthetic blend, spiced with vanillin. Too sweet for summer.

No. At first nice, coconut, fruity, then it gets weird, synthetic, overpowering, piercing in the nose. It creates no summer feeling.

Unfortunately, it has now been discontinued. :( I hope their new company takes it over. I really love wearing Miami Glow in the summer.

Blind buy, as I liked Cassiopeia so much. Unfortunately, this cheap laundry detergent note really bothers me... Kind of musty.
