When Noblesse Was Still Called Berben

I received a sample (thank you again :), which still bears the name Berben.
After seeing that LR was also responsible for "Boris Becker (Eau de Parfum) | LR / Racine" and realizing that the sample must be somewhat older, my expectations were rather low.

And then, on a damp, cold foggy day full of gray dreariness, I experience this beautiful, warm perfume! Just right for today. Golden honey and vanilla sweeten the day, while cinnamon warms the heart and soul. The heating can be turned down a bit ;) Good for the social and ecological environment.

What a pity, Ms. Berben!

I have been a fan of the actress Iris Berben since my youth. No, not a hardcore fan, but I always found her beautiful - as the "heavenly daughter," as "Luzie," and later in "Guldenburgs," or even later, aging in the film "Buddenbrooks".... She is still that way today - timelessly beautiful. I admit, I have always admired women with jet-black hair and fair skin...Liz Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh. Okay, those are the ultra-beautiful, but I always counted Iris Berben among them. An unattainable ideal of my youth...Dyeing my hair black doesn't help if beauty is otherwise lacking. Cruel nature!

However, I would have wished for a better perfume for Ms. Berben, one that bears her name or at least did - she has apparently distanced herself from the scent "Femme Noblesse" and the manufacturer.

At first, I perceive a distinct hairspray note, somewhat sharp and therefore a little off-putting - barely more than a 6.0 rating. It takes quite a while for this note to fade. Then the perfume becomes quite decent on me. I can hardly recognize any of the mentioned fragrance notes, at most the oak moss. I personally don't particularly like it anyway, but it has its fans.
As it develops further, "Femme Noblesse" appears rather light and floral on me. Oriental wouldn't have come to mind, nor powdery. At this stage, I would give it a 7.5, but I'm still not really enthusiastic.
Overall, on me, it is a floral-elegant scent with a rather unpleasant start.

No, Ms. Berben, you are much more beautiful than this perfume!

Not bad, Ms. Berben.

This star fragrance belongs to the oriental-powdery scents, and I can only confirm that.

It starts off spicy and sweet, with the cinnamon in the top note being quite prominent.
The honey comes through nicely, and it is a beautiful dark honey. Neroli is also strongly present.
The scent aura reminds me of Iris by Arnim and Roma Imperiale, but here it is even stronger.

I think this fragrance suits Ms. Berben, who is still a beautiful woman.

The scent becomes even more intense and spicy over time, and soon a delicate bitter note can be detected, which ensures that the fragrance does not become too sweet.
This is how I imagine an oriental fragrance: spicy, strong, and sweet, without drifting into a more or less whorish scent.

However, the honey remains very dominant.
Towards the base, it becomes softer and more powdery, with vanilla and sandalwood joining in, but it remains very strong for a long time.

I can't really complain about this fragrance. I like it, as it feels like heavy dark velvet, but it doesn't quite fall into my preferred category.
