Fabric Softener Terminator for Family Television
In the following, I will (as long as time and, above all, nerves allow) test LR fragrances and share my thoughts here. All the ones I have tested so far are, in my nose, copies of well-known originals, and the star fragrances are no exception here...
So, I'll start with the Terminator:
Apparently, the name is not protected; otherwise, they probably wouldn't call it that.
What is the Terminator again?!
So in 1984, in its original version, it was a laconic, everything-blasting machine monster that came from the future - later on (to adapt Schwarzenegger's image more and more to the big shoes of a governor), the Terminator became more and more of a softie, who even got to help humanity; according to the original concept, he ends - in normal cases - the life of everything that crosses his path, drives, crawls, whatever...
What does the Terminator smell like?
On the first spray, only one thing came to mind: Minotaure; less brutal in the opening, but I was sure they wanted to copy it (wanting and being able to do so are not always in sync at LR).
Then the peppermint comes through (or is that supposed to be eucalyptus?!), which is also found in the Le Male clone attempt (called Jungle), it all flows along happily and avoids the extreme of the real Minotaur, deviating a bit from the opening (they probably thought on one hand it shouldn't be too extreme and on the other hand didn't work/copy it properly...)
The whole thing is wearable, doesn't hurt anyone (like the Arnold Terminator in later films), is not as cheap and disgusting as other LR fragrances (over time, the inferior ingredients start to come out more and more)
I like the original Minotaure, which is why this one finds my favor, even if it is just a cheap and neutered version - one must consider: who buys this?! -> inexperienced users who want little extremes, and for this target group, it’s not bad, because it doesn’t pollute the surroundings as disgustingly as, for example, Boris Becker...
The fragrance pyramid is pretty much nonsense to me; right from the start, there’s something sweet in there: vanilla, etc., which triggered this déjà-vu for me.
It should also be noted that LR fragrances usually become more synthetic, sweeter, cheaper, more penetrating, and annoying over time (the dirt really comes out more over time)
With this, I terminate my first LR comment, but I'll be back!
Hasta la vista, baby!
