Older Women's Fragrance
I bought this fragrance cheaply on a whim at a barbershop.
I found the description quite appealing. Since I never pay attention to whether a fragrance is intended for men or women, I wanted to give it a try.
When I used to work as a tiler for older ladies, it smelled something like this in the bathroom.
It has a very floral scent and somehow feels a bit outdated.
I now only wear this fragrance for jogging. In the fresh air, it loses that old lady effect on me and only smells floral.
There is certainly one or another lady who can wear this fragrance, but for me, it's not my thing.

Classic, but not outdated
It's a shame that the wonderful fragrances by L. T. Piver are so unknown here.
I personally use Pompeïa from time to time in the form of a brilliantine; this scent was sold to me as unisex, and now I am a bit perplexed to see that it is rather classified as a women's fragrance. Well, my ex-girlfriend also found the scent to be more unisex, or she said that I would smell like her grandfather when I wear this fragrance. The first time she said that, I was shocked, but she assured me that she enjoys the scent, or rather her grandfather's scent.
I cannot understand why Pompeïa is classified as animalic-sweet; I would rather describe it as powdery-floral.

The fragrance has something very clean and bright about it, almost something magical, a good mood scent.
I don't necessarily perceive a scent progression; for me, it is rather straightforward.
The rose geranium harmonizes wonderfully with the light lavender note. Ylang-ylang is there to emphasize it, and the rose with the jasmine are more in the background. A decent portion of powdered iris completes the Pompeïa scent. I cannot (thankfully) perceive patchouli, or it might be there to round things off a bit, but I can't smell it directly, just like the lemon. Pompeïa never comes across as synthetic; to me, it gives a very high-quality, natural impression, even though Pompeïa is in the lower price segment. In Germany, there are a few importers who mark up the price quite a bit, but it still remains quite affordable.

Pompeïa is a beautiful fragrance! I would be happy if there were more comments here, and I am curious how other people describe this scent. Animalic-sweet does not fit at all, or am I completely off with my assumption, and do you also consider this fragrance more of a women's scent? I think nowadays, Pompeïa could also be worn by men.

ghost perfume
good day,
my first review here is about pompeia, a perfume that is very important to me.
I’m not really evaluating it, but rather just reporting that this perfume is offered to the spirits in the vodou religion.
I have no idea why the spirits are so fond of this particular perfume.

In any case, it is very affordable in Paris. If you head towards Chateau Rouge and drop into the shops of the North Africans, you can get half a liter of the perfume for just 9.90. That’s quite a bargain!

I also like the bottle - large and heavy, quite retro.

And the scent?
It reminds me of Africa, where the ghost perfume smells quite similar.
Old-fashioned, but I like it.

A special treat is that the scent is mainly used in Hoodoo ceremonies: musky-powdery, floral, very pleasant.

After the great "Héliotrope Blanc" by Piver, I'm very disappointed with "Pompeia." The top note strongly reminds me of toilet blocks.

Can also be used by men who are hopeless romantics - in barber shops for 100 years! Also as a hair tonic - sooo beautiful...

Floral-powdery-animalic-sweet, I think the scent is very feminine. Quite old-fashioned, but very feminine. A great, mature fragrance.
