Oak tear
For a long time I have been on my way through the old forest. Walk on paths that are often walked on but never finished. I gradually lose myself in the deep undergrowth that is as ramified as the brown-green veins of Mother Nature. Deeper and deeper I go my way on damp earth and deceased leaves. Climb over weathered root and roam through oases of meter-high dense fern to find them. She who stands lonely and abandoned like on an island in the middle of the deepest and darkest forest. She, who was probably the first one to grow up here. She, the ancient, majestic mother of this forest. The awesome old oak!
Deeply rooted, she stands there. Densely overgrown with lichens and moss that has settled on it over time. Like a second thick, soft skin, they enclose the old bark like a noble robe of greenish brown velvet. She calls me out with her earthy warm smell of smoky green vetiver and moss. It is the fragrance of strength and confidence that she radiates when I lay my cheek on her. All will be well near her, everything will be healed, everything will stop when I feel her, feel her, smell her. Tears are sinking in the oakmoss. Salty and creamy like sandalwood, they seep away like sorrows in the light of the hope of the tree. Sadness gives way like the smoke of an extinct candle at dusk. She has comforted me so many times in my short life compared to her. Green should be my lips from all the kisses to her mossy-soft skin after all these years. She always gave me hope, confidence and strength.
Even if I often tears only in oakmoss!
Conclusion
Oakmoss, the essence of the old fragrance dynasties. The essence that has already lured the generation with the pheromones of moss. A scent that unconsciously throws us back deep into the time when we were still forest dwellers. Oakmoss has the power to influence and manipulate us psychologically in a very pleasant way. It suggests stability,self-confidence
Dominique Dubrana and Abdes Saalam Attar of La Via del Profumo have captured this essence in Muschio di Quercia. A natural fragrance that captivates and enchants with its simple but effective design. Smoky vetiver in combination with dark green-earthy soft oak moss and light chords of tender-salty sandalwood are the secret of Muschio di Quercia. Not a fragrance that captures attention with tons of scents and a meter-long sillage, but the instinctive plant-animalic pheromones captivates. Quiet, subtle and touching. I personally catch myself again and again that I reach to Muschio di Quercia and like to wear. It's like a hundred year old oak that protects you and strengthens you at the same time. The scent has something that's hard to describe, but it's definitely there. It is the magic of oak moss that has fascinated me and generations. A fragrance that is deeply rooted in the wearer's memory and spreads like a delicate patch of oakmoss on the soul. Beautiful, very beautiful!
