Library room, cigarettes and peaches.
2013 Résidence d'Artistes is definitely an acquired taste. My partner doesn't get it and I don't wear it for compliments or to feel more feminine. It's a scent just for me, for certain days that have specific goals, days when I have to correct manuscripts or have to get ready for a conference. It smells exactly like the reading room in the library tower at my university, a building from the 1800's bearing the name of an American patriarch who donated the money for its construction and for marking that territory with his name.
In that place, my girlfriends and I would hide around the exam period after a cigarette break. 2013 recreates the scent of that room where the tobacco would mix with the smell of old books, of the leather of the couches and the sweet, peachy parfums (Gucci Rush, most likely) or maybe the chewing gum we used to hide the smell of the cigarettes. I doubt this fragrance will ever be a crowd pleaser, but for me it has the nostalgia of my college days.

2013 Résidence d'Artistes este un gust dobândit, partenerul meu nu il intelege, nu il port pentru ca ma scoate in evidenta sau pentru femininitatea lui. Este un parfum doar pentru mine, pentru anumite zile care au un scop anume, atunci cand trebuie să mă pregătesc pentru o conferință sau să corectez un manuscris. Miroase exact ca si camera de lectura in biblioteca de la facultatea mea, o cladire de prin 1800 si ceva, cu un nume de patriarh american care a donat banii pentru constructie si pentru a-si marca teritoriul cu numele lui. Acolo noi fetele ne ascundeam in preajma examenelor dupa ce fumam o tigara ca sa barfim cand luam o pauza. 2013 recreaza parfumul acelei camere unde tutunul se amesteca cu mirosul de carti, de piele din fotolii si canapele, si parfumurile noastre dulcice de fete tinere, care pe atunci aduceau a piersica (Gucci Rush, cel mai probabil) sau poate guma de mestecat cu care incercam sa ascundem mirosul de tigari inainte sa ne intoarcem in sala principala. Nu il vad ca pe un parfum care va deveni foarte popular sau cautat, dar pentru mine are nostalgia amintirilor din facultate. Siajul, proiectia si longevitatea sint destul de limitate.
