Italian chic
The opening is very similar to Black Sugar by Aquolina. The same overwhelming sweetness lined with dark smokiness. Liu Jo Gold is slightly sweeter (probably because of bergamot and pear sorbet). With time, Liu Jo Gold softens due to dry damask rose and becomes rather close to the skin as opposed to omnipresent Black Sugar.
Middle notes are leather and oud. Then there is the subtle vanilla, some patchouli and musk.
Liu Jo Gold is chic and neat. Not fancy by any means, but without exaggeration, simply elegant. It should not be offensive for the environment.
And the bottle? It is simply georgeus!
