Subtle Lady
Today, I happened to walk past a store with a large sign saying "Liquidations." Normally, that wouldn't interest me much as it usually indicates a crowd is to be expected.
However, when I saw the word "Perfumes," there was no stopping me. Inside the store, I made a beeline for the coveted items. Since I expected mostly no-name cheap perfumes, I was quite surprised to find this one as well as B from Bucheron. I had not known these fragrances until now. Well, at a quarter of the original price, one can take the risk.
Once home, I immediately unpacked my latest acquisitions. My first thought was: Wow, this risk really paid off. What reveals itself is anything but cheap.
Now, onto this fragrance.
Since there is no comment on it yet and I am a novice with no reference points for this scent, I will push my olfactory receptors to the max and hope to describe the fragrance as well as I can.
The top note starts off fresh and fruity. I would assert that bergamot and several fruits are definitely present here. It might contain pineapple and peach, but not only those. My receptors are struggling with the others. It is definitely a fine fruity note, very natural and slightly cinnamon-like.
After a very short time, the flowers come into play. I smell orange blossom and rose. Furthermore, I am convinced that tuberose is also included. However, everything is so complexly intertwined that it is almost impossible for me to recognize all the flowers individually. I am convinced that there are even more flowers in this bouquet. For untrained noses, it is a very demanding perfume.
The base note becomes slightly powdery. The iris makes its presence known. A light peach note accompanies it all the way to the end.
The scent is elegant and subtle yet still present. I find it difficult to assess the sillage, as I prefer it to be quite strong. Therefore, I would classify it as moderate. However, it could very well be that for others it is quite strong.
The longevity can certainly be described as good.
For me, it is a scent for a subtle lady who never becomes too loud and is always careful not to draw negative attention. Indeed, a true lady.
A very beautiful fragrance.
I feel as if I have found a treasure on an island.
