A gentle kiss of a Brimstone butterfly
The Italians know how: Music, fashion, cuisine and even scents. Yes, the Italians, as if it had been gifted to them straight from the cradle. Romance, sense of beauty, temperament and style.
Always I wondered why the scents of Luciano Soprani are so little known. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the very talented fashion designer who had celebrated great success at the fashion scene in Milan with his casual yet elegant style and bold colors, died in 1999 at an early age of 53. Originally he studied agricluture, but it was meant from the cradle that he used his talent in fashion design. After his death, his company was continued under his name by his best friend and partner until today, and according to his style and taste. As beautiful as his designs in the fashion world is the range of his perfume creations.
Donna is a very complex scent. Here the notes are so interwoven that one cannot detect them individually. The bergamot - as in many Italian fragrances - is certainly dominant. From a citric freshness the scent glides early into a soft fruity roundness. White flowers give the whole a restrained elegance. A soft powdery touch completes the impression of ultra light sweetness, which makes it a wearable scent for any occasion.
The longevity is acceptable, but it is still a skin scent.
A delicate, elegant, multifaceted fragrance whose touch and color remind me of a gentle kiss of a Brimstone butterfly. Both are beautiful, both are rare.
Surprisingly, the scent is not expensive and an ideal companion in Spring and Summer. If the Italian fashions were as inexpensive as this beautiful fragrance, I would be a frequent visitor to Milan.
