A smell that fits its name
GFS is one of the most popular and highly praised fragrances from MFK. The fragrance opens with a nice berry sweet note and gives out a heavy clean, cold and crisp smell. The smell is so metallic that it indeed reminds me of silver. After the opening quiets down, a herbaceous smell lingers around; probably the Coriander seed note. It definitely belongs to the category of dry and clean smelling category, and can be safely used as a daily wear. The fragrance forms a wall of smell near the spraying spot, but does not push out very far. It lasts ~4 hours on me, so not particularly good or bad.
While it can be worn all year round, I do feel that it is best fit for the summer. Somehow it reminds me a little bit of Green Irish Tweed and Bleu de Chanel Parfum, and would put them into the same category in terms of the occasion of using. After wearing it several times, I’ve eventually decided to not own a bottle, due to my dislike of its lingering herbaceous smell. Overall, I think it's very interesting and can be a good fragrance for some. Would recommend anyone looking for a clean smelling fragrance to give it a try.
