Someone ran after me to ask what I was wearing...
Now that 2024 is over, I am trying to write a few thoughts about my most worn frags.
GFS was my most worn fragrance, along with Afnan's Collectors Edition.
This is one of my favourite from MFK, and one that you should consider if you like Juniper as a note. When sprayed, that note is what you'll first smell along with a fresh mix of musk & woods. Some people may perceive it as pungent, hence some of the other comments here saying that the fragrance is not so gentle after all. Anyway, the juniper will stay around for the first couple of hours, with a decent projection. Then the dry down will develop into a mildly sweet vanilla.
Performance wise, we are talking about 6-8 hours. I often tend to prefer fragrances that are versatile and have a wider spectrum of uses... this definitely falls into the category. It is genderless, but slightly masculine leaning. All season are fine, but the juniper & freshness combo make this a good choice for hotter months. Not the most formal scent, but definitely office safe as it smells "clean".
Now, referring to the title... this is the only fragrance that in 2024 got me an unsolicited compliment. I don't care about compliments in general, but it's worth sharing as some people do.
During a relatively warm evening, I was walking toward an extremely busy Shibuya's Scramble Square and a person run after me. They stopped me and asked what I was wearing because "it smells amazing" and where could they get it from. So this is the story... I'd say it is a simple proof that the scent is good and the projection works.
