He's got potential!

For me, this is one of the Mancera fragrances that totally won me over. Which may have been because I had little to no expectations for it. But for me, I've also found that Mancera is one of those perfume companies where looking at the fragrance pyramid confuses me more than it helps me. Except for Lemon Line and Cedrat Boise, I was actually expecting something different most of the time, but with this one I was sure what was coming. "Aqua Wood" is probably going to be another fresh, aquatic, woody scent that stays with me for 2-3 hours and then fades away. Puff! Something else again... Whoozaaaa...

It starts off very fresh. But not with aquatic freshness but with juicy, tangy citrus and a hint of pear, which is in no way inferior to the citrus in terms of juiciness. This is definitely different from the other summer "aqua" scents I've tested so far. Then in the background a very slight gingery spiciness (?) settles in and makes the whole thing even more interesting. Does not bother me at all, because the sharpness with the sweetness keeps the balance.
After that, the fragrance becomes more floral. The rose, which is rather earthy in type and is supported by the patchouli, does a good job here. This fits for my taste like a fist on the eye. At that point (after 2-3 hours) you get the impression that it's already fading and will disappear completely, but that's not the case. He lets up a little, but with the use of the other notes, he gets it all out of him again and actually becomes a little heavier than before and suddenly develops into a noble everyday fragrance that can be worn not only on hot summer days. Amazing somehow.

In the end, you have so 5-6 hours of pleasure in it and in the beginning he also makes quite attentive. For me, the fragrance has potential times to become my signature fragrance, because it is so multi-faceted. It's fresh, fruity, floral, woody and earthy, which is pretty much everything I like in perfumes. Mancera put it all in a bottle once and et voila! Out came a surprisingly good Aqua Wood, which will definitely go into my collection.
