A very special perfume
Wasnt love at first sniff for me, definitely took me a while to understand and appreciate this scent, it is a resinous acquatic, as oxymoronic as this description sounds, the perfumer did a crazy good job blending this one and it is very multi faceted. I never thought of it being summer king, i always like to look at other scents for it but always find myself reaching for oud bleu. It became a very special scent for me and a signature and made so many memories with it throughout the past 3 years that i keep on wearing it. It is my 3rd bottle now, began with 15 mls then 50 and now 100ml and I can see myself wearing this scent for many years to come. It is very unexpected that this scent became my signature since I smelled it first time. Maybe because it is special and nothing smells like it? Maybe versatile? Maybe also quite sexy? Maybe just suits me? For all I know is that I always feel good wearing this scent and I recommend everyone go through a small decant as it does take a while to fully understand and appreciate the scent. Not for beginner noses. I've tried many scents throughout my journey and own and owned quite a few special scents but the 2 scents I always reach for with pleasure is oud bleu for day and roja parfum de la nuit 3 for special occasion, if i could only have 2 scents it would be these two.

Unique fragrance profile
Despite the cost of the bottle, this was in my experience one of those outside profile scent, unique and original ..performance are always relative while contextualised in an rich and elegant contempt as this fragrance aim to express .
Together with Sahraa, I consider Oud blue, the best top tier of the entire collection from Fragrance Di Bois

Earthy green 'blue' scent
Oud Bleu Intense is a fresh, spicy amber scent with a vaguely aquatic theme. It seems to derive its marine references from the naturally earthy nuances of myrrh and the cold green wateriness of cardamom, rather than the chemical awfulness of Calone or Ambroxan. Thank heavens for small mercies, I suppose.

The natural feel of Oud Bleu does not quite compensate for a general banality of composition or thinness of texture, however. A satisfying counterpart to this might be found on the shelves of any department store for less than half the price.

Mass-Compatible Oriental - a rather soft, slightly fruity spring Oud
'Mass-compatible' is probably not an attribute that the company Du Bois will wish for, given the price. A niche fragrance for 420 euros (50 ml), which has yet to receive any comments?

A slightly fruity opening, clearly recognizable as a somewhat waxy mandarin, rounded off with a lightly nutty-dry cardamom. A very delicately applied smoky note joins in, all used in an extremely moderate manner, light-footed, perhaps a bit vague in the composition.

"Intense" is not much here; one could almost rename the fragrance to "Oud Bleu Cologne."
The namesake Oud itself, which the company advertises as 100% organic and real, comes across as distinctly oriental, slightly sweet, bright, and minimally resinous. The opposite of heavy or voluminous, thanks to the fine cistus, it is rather more balsamic-resinous in character.

All in all, a quite nice fragrance that doesn't hurt anyone, but otherwise comes across as remarkably pale and harmless.

One of the Best Summer Scents
Oud Bleu Intense is one of my favorite summer fragrances and probably my favorite offering from Fragrance du Bois. The scent opens with a beautiful combination of mandarin and cardamom, the start is fresh and creamy. Then nutmeg joins in to add some spiciness to the fragrance. I get a hint of oud in the opening, but it is not prominent and is only in the background, smelling of natural oud. In the dry down, the mandarin fades away, and a lovely olibanum note appears along with ambered labdanum and myrrh. You might think that the fragrance becomes resinous and heavy at this stage, but that is not the case at all; the scent remains light and airy, yet it becomes warmer and spicier. Overall, Oud Bleu Intense has a very unique scent profile, starting fresh and creamy and drying down to a warm, resinous base while maintaining its airy quality. What I like best is the lovely cardamom note and the creamy texture of the fragrance.

Soapy, clean calming mandarin and tea surrounded by this woodsy resinous composition. There's no distinct oud here. good quality stuff.

Opens floral w/ powdery-musky accords; dries woody-clean with orange. Good for spring-summer, unisex. Bad performance and awful value.

Unbelievable ginger-ale like opening where you can literally smell the bubbles. Then dries down with way too much resin. Bummer.

Unique amber-incense blend with flawless transitions; stunning scent but held back by weak projection for the price.

Smooth. Aromatic fougere, fresh and spicy, the cardamom almost minty. No trace of oud. Perfect business fragrance.
