Sauvage but Better
I just got JB Mahogany from the Black Friday sale, definitely worth it for $77 after the discount. It smells like a more adult/classier version of Dior Sauvage edt, that loud screechy ambroxan that tends to overpower other notes is completely absent. Instead, you can actually pick out and enjoy the cedrat and pepper opening, the geranium and violet mid, and the cedar and vetiver base. I had really liked Sauvage, but the ambroxan was too much and caused headaches too easily, Mahogany seems to solve that issue, but I have only used it for a couple of wears.
Perhaps longevity will improve with time, but from my experience so far, it does become a skin scent (though a very prominent one) after 3 hours or so, and stays on skin for around 6-7 hours. It is fairly strong for that first hour or so.
