Catch this Flame before it has gone out.
Glad i got my hands on this as the word is that it is being discontinued.
Even though it doesn't have mint in the notes it definitely has a mint scent like the og, just a more fresh and cleaner kind of scent. The opening maybe doesn't smell too great with the orange but it settles very quickly, in a matter of minutes. It takes a few minutes for it to fully develop the smell that will be with you for the rest of the day without any need for resprays.
To me it's the rosemary and woods that i can smell the most along with the mintiness in this frag, you can tell the citrus and pepper is there also but it's not sharp on the nose. The whole thing is just blended nicely imo.
I like that this is a fragrance you don't go nose blind to quickly, normally frags with vanilla are the ones i go nose blind quickest to but not here as the vanilla is not the usual heavy thick, powdery kind of vanilla. I hate it when you buy a fragrance and think the smell has gone but in fact others around you are smelling it but you the person who bought it is not enjoying it at the same time lol. I do not have that issue with Flame. I could still smell this on me up to 3 days later after spraying, sure it had become a skin scent but it was definitely still there. The first day i could constantly smell it coming from me though with only a few sprays. Although i see people saying they are having issues. I got mine this year from the UK, Boots store to be exact.
Batch 2304513. Production date 2023-02-14 (1 month 16 days from this review). When i spray it on my arms i can see the oil still on my skin for a good 10mins after so if you can get your hands on this batch, go for it. I think what people maybe will find it doesn't quite project as well as the OG does and like myself at first, too many people hear the words beast mode and assign it to all aspects of the fragrance and where it maybe doesn't scream and fill a room it still has enough projection that people will smell this on you when sprayed enough and in the right places. I find that 2 sprays, 1 to each of the arms is enough for when i am on my own watching TV or chilling in my house and if i were to be going out i would then up the sprays to my neck and back of the head along with the chest for added projection and i'm positive this will have people searching you out to find where this delightful scent is coming from. Those walking past you will know for sure though that it is coming from you.
If you find the OG a little too thick and on the heavy side from the vanilla and what many say is a clubbing scent and would like something similar but fresher then i suggest you try get your hands on Flame before it's gone for good as a lot of people have been talking about Flame recently. It seems to have been a sleeper frag that has suddenly woken up to the fragrance community and many are enjoying it. It has been making the rounds on YouTube and i have yet to find a negative word on it. Honestly the only thing that bothers me is that it is quite oily and the bottle needs a clean along with your hands after handling but that just says how good the oils are and this is an EDP, so take from that what you will.
Scent 8/10
Longevity 11/10 (A quick edit, i had just came off a weeks break from fragrances so this could vary but i can say that this was the first fragrance i used after the break and as stated i could smell it up to as much as 3 days)
Sillage 8/10
Overall 8/10
Worth paying full RRP: Yes, especially with discontinuation being spoken off.
Enjoy
