Challenging leathery rose scent
Sounds complex? Well, it is... AF. Sweet rose with a very pungent and leathery oud (like real oud, not fake like occidental attempts). There is a notorious note of saffron and amber; some herbal nuances, more florals and spices and black musk. Probably it doesn't sound too challenging so far, but there's a sour note which will keep most noses away and it's very prominent.
This fragrance evolves a lot through its existence and after 2 hours it softens enough to be more wearable but it's definitely a daring scent for western noses. It's niche even for eastern noses probably.

I would say that Shahrezad is more for a personal enjoyment. You have to be into middle eastern fragrances to appreciate this complex proposition. At the end, I think it's a beautiful fragrance.

Good quality ingredients with a nuclear performance. The only downside is the versatility. Otherwise it would be a 10/10 for me.

The entire Nabeel's Vintage Collection has an unbelieable quality vs price.

PS: It's seems like Shahrezad has been discontinued.
PS2: I have the newest bottle btw... I didn't know the one on the info.

A Royal Class Oudh Scent
What could I possibly write, starting from endless tales of endless nights, about smoldering-eyed veiled beauties, memories of faded nights and lost lovers ... but I won’t.
The scent doesn’t need it - and neither do I.

On the Nabeel website, London, there is only one sentence about this fragrance:

"This perfume shows to everyone what oudh is"

And there is nothing more to add.

Clear, soft, harmonious oudh, deliciously wearable in the height of summer when temperatures reach around 40 degrees. A serious scent that grounds you, leads you to the center, and never, ever becomes somehow intrusive or creepy, which cannot be said of many of the imitators from the West, that’s for sure.

I bought my bottle in 1996 in Dubai, and one can only hope that it hasn’t fallen victim to that unfortunate castration.

Especially light cheesy oud in the shade of the apple tree. Lasts well.

You can immediately sense the complexity of the scent, but it feels overwhelming with a cacophony of notes: confused in the Orient.

Rose and aldehyde dominate the scent for a long time before a slightly animalistic oud emerges. Not really my thing in the long run.

Oudh of the finest kind. Clear, pure, serious, harmonious.
