Faaaaabulous!
Flowers for men ... certainly not a novel idea ( JPG Fleur du Male is one that pops immediately into my head) and flowers like Rose, Jasmine and Lavender have been used in 'mens' creations for the longest time.
Herein lies the rub: if you are a man that believes florals should only be worn by women then stick to your Old Spice (which, btw, contains Jasmine, Geranium, Heliptrope and Carnation you moron) and leave smelling fabulous up to those of us who actually give a damn! As you can tell, dear reader, I have a huge problem with fragrances being stereotyped! In my youth, in the narrow-minded society in which I was raised, just the mere fact that I wore any fragrance at all classified me as being gay (which I am and always will be) and is a much more politically correct word than some of the things I have been called in my life. Discrimination hasn't stopped me from becoming a fragrance fanatic or wearing anything that I deem to smell good ... and this one does!!
This fragrance should simply be called 'Gardenia'. It is truly fabulous!! Once more, today, I am faced with the note of Elemi, which for some inexplicable reason reminds me of clean, sun drenched skin ... hopefully belonging to a lifesaver with thick, wavy dark hair, a dazzling white smile and pecs that one could break an egg on :), while his dark syrupy eyes laugh endearingly into mine ... but I digress!!!
The Gardenia here is undoubtedly the star of this fragrance ... lush, plush and sexy! Green notes provide an 'outdoorsy' feel and the Patchouli and woody notes provide a strong, earthy mien. This is the first Neil Morris fragrance that I have tried (thanks A.) and apart from the ignominious attempt at labeling it 'for men' I plan on ordering a bottle of it as soon as possible. It's glorious ...
... why should guys be excluded from smelling fabulous? This superb fragrance is simply proof that they can!!
