A Milder Obsession
For me, this fragrance comes in waves as such:
1 – peppery citrus and spice.
2 – Green, herbal
3 – floral, powdery
4 – sweetish leather
At first 'Gotham' reminds me much of Calvin Klein 'Obsession', but not quite so ballsy and overwhelming. Even though the listed notes are very different, they seem similar to me. However, 'Gotham' is a lot more subdued and pleasant. Very much milder with not as much sillage and not so long lasting. Very peppery opening with roses in the center. Also it becomes wonderfully churchy upon fading, reminiscent of altar boys swinging censers.
The fading out is especially nice and leathery and sweet. If you love 'Obsession', you should try this definitely.
