Ancient Fougère with Icy Manners..
... and in an ancient vintage splash bottle, no less. How about that! Yes, it smells wonderful, it's something for "herb-fresh lovers" who enjoy clove, cumin, and marine notes. It also doesn't have any "shower gel" undertone, which didn't even exist when "Nerval" was released! As "ancient" as it is, some of today's "men's" perfumes could take a thick slice from it.
There's nothing to be found in the way of "sweet" or "gourmand" here.. perhaps the slight musk edge could be interpreted by some "sweet-sensitive" noses with a lot of imagination!
And, to get back to my headline, it also becomes really "icy" in scent, like glacial water or northern fjords. There are also dry-green "fern" scents, moss, lichens, "boreal forest wood," and possibly thyme in "mint-fresh"..
This raises a "good question" for me... "Why are such cool 'waters' discontinued? Or, if they still exist in their basic structure, why are they marketed thin and colorless, as a 'skeleton of themselves'?"
There's no need to argue about scent preferences. But about their versions!!!!
