Jungle Fever
One of many fragrances from this beautiful Nerval collection, all of which I had on my shelf - or rather, my mum's.
Back in the day, it was in the "bending shelf" at our village perfumery for under 10 DM. Today, it's priceless. If only we had known..
All, without exception, Nerval musk fragrances or oils are special, profound, and long-lasting. A nasal delight par excellence.
Each of these fragrances overflows with musk. You really have to like it; otherwise, it quickly becomes too much.
I like it a lot because it gives the wearer a cozy, mysterious touch.
It envelops the skin, the body, yes, even the aura like a second skin. Like a cloak of "Come here," "I want you," "I will stay with you." A beautifully dressed and protected feeling.
Green-Love has a bright splash of "green" in the musk. I feel like Jane, jumping from vine to vine in the dense, green, slightly damp jungle, and ending up in the arms of Tarzan, who catches her with his strong, bare arms and presses her against his bare body until they become one out of longing. (Did I write naked?)
Do you know that feeling of becoming "one" with a loved one? Inexpressible!
Unfortunately, no fragrance notes are listed. But Green-Love naturally smells of musk, somewhat animalistic, with green accents in the form of grasses, leaves, and a hint of patchouli. Green-Love is the "lightweight" in this Nerval musk collection.
It's such a shame that these fragrances are now only available at extremely high prices.
All sorts of fragrances are being released with countless flankers. These usually differ minimally, if at all, except in price. Fragrances like those from Nerval or many other vintage scents are falling into oblivion.
Those would be worth reissuing or being produced anew, as they once were (with the exception of animal notes, which should be replaced with synthetic ones).
