Suede jackets from Paris
I would like to start my 10th perfume advent calendar door today with a little anecdote about men and shopping:
Once, it's now about 2.5 years ago, my friend called me from his business trip from Paris: "I'm standing here in the Lafayette Gallery and don't know which leather jacket to buy, I'll send you 2 pictures, ok? My mouth was open. Was this the same man who shuffled through the city after me half a year before, moaning and disgruntled, because I wanted to visit a second shop while buying Christmas presents and compare prices there? What had happened? Was it Paris? Was it because of the very special magic of these wonderful beauties at the Seine or because of THE shopping heaven par excellence, the gallery Lafayette?
Anyway, the leather jackets were nice, the cognac-coloured suede blouson was bought and proudly presented at home: "What did you need them for so urgently now?" "But I liked it so much!" You notice, swapped roles in this conversation? ;)
At the same time, in my sheer greed for perfume, I acquired a bottle from Sculpture Homme God's Night. I tested it, found it wearable, and passed it on. My boyfriend loved his new leather jacket, wore it almost every day the following fall, the fragrance was the same and suddenly it all made sense
Sculpture Homme starts out spicy-fresh with a whole load of cardamom and pepper, then turns into a sweet heart with jammy fig and ends softly, harmoniously and warmly. Although it's not mentioned, I smell leathery qualities here, so it goes very well with the leather jacket mentioned.
In winter, it took some persuasion to snatch my friend's beloved leather jacket and exchange it for something warmer, but he was allowed to continue using the fragrance in the coldest winter as well, since its warm, spicy character makes it suitable for every cold season.
So if you're looking for a spicy-sweet and somewhat more special scent, God's Night is the right choice. Admittedly, it doesn't last very long, but the sillage is quite strong, especially in the beginning, and has already put some of my scents under butter when we went out together.
It is compared with Joop! - Wow for Men, but is even cheaper, sweeter, special, through the fig note and I like it much better. However, you have to like cardamom to be able to wear this fragrance.
And, I must once again praise you for the fact that since then we have happily and peacefully completed the odd hardcore shopping tour, usually accompanied by a leather jacket and God's Night
Thank you for reading,
