A favorite

This perfume is one of my favorites. I love wearing it to bed because it isn’t heady, not too rosy, which makes it a comfortable wear at night. The blend of notes is perfection.
The longevity is 8 hours on me, but I spray a lot. It’s one of the only perfumes I tend to overspray because I love it that much.

Beautifully Rosy, but Weak

If I had a little daughter, I would buy it for her. I would let her play with clothes that are too big for her. She would then want to use my Oud Satin Mood, and I would give her L'Extase Rose absolutely. Rose jam with a weak OSM DNA, but really just a whisper. It has none of the immense wave of emotions and art that OSM has on my skin.
It is a beautiful feminine, rosy perfume, but for me, compared to OSM, it lacks the wow effect. It doesn't last at all on my skin, so it's just a very weak skin scent, and it hardly projects; I have to stick my nose in the clothing to still smell it after 15 minutes. I sprayed it 6 times on my skin and 5 on clothing today, hoping that would help, but unfortunately, others can't smell it on me after just 1 hour either.

Oud for beginners

I bought Nina Ricci L'extase Rose Absolut at TK Maxx blind. I think I will get another bottle. "Oud for beginners," not for everyday wear, but very beautiful. Longevity is simply superb. Many will surely find it "too much." But it is still "much less than" Oud Satin Mood. A wearable version of Oud Satin Mood.

I want everything, right now...

is my motto at the moment. I hadn't bought any perfume for at least a year. I wanted to be a bit frugal and use up a few scents before I got new ones. And I did that
... Two of them...
And just like that, the shopping spree started again..

I don't know the predecessor L'Extase. I haven't tested a single fragrance from Nina Ricci until now. The name Rose Absolue and this gold-black bottle made my heart race. I took the risk of a blind buy. Rating 8.0. I thought nothing could go wrong....

Absolue starts off sweet-spicy. Very sweet, it's almost overwhelming. Not sugary sweet, adult-sweet (yes, silly word) but I would almost say sexy, seductive-sweet. There's something to it.
Pepper comes right after and pushes aside this seductive note. It's like I'm smelling a pepper mill. Pepper usually doesn't bother me in perfumes. However, here it's a bit much for me.
Then Absolue becomes slightly bitter.

It smells like bitter?! Rose oil mixed with pepper. Not a sweet rose, no, it's somehow bitter... Could this be the Taif rose? Well, it's quite interesting, but somehow not my thing.

The sweet note dissipates within a few seconds. And what comes next? Potpourri...

Yes, now it has a bit of potpourri.
A living room table with burning vanilla-scented candles. In the middle of the table is a huge bowl of potpourri. Now I feel like I'm at my grandma's house..

But what comes next? Within a few minutes, the potpourri is gone too.
What remains is a fluffy vanilla mousse dusted with pepper...

My Burberry Black? Not here. I have to revise my statement!

Phew, the scent is really heavy. I feel the need to let it go, but the beginning drives me crazy.. The first minute smells so damn good haha ;) The note carries through the entire scent development, but unfortunately very weakly :(

First of all, it doesn't become "bad", let's see how it develops in the summer (I have a sneaky suspicion that I might overwhelm my surroundings with it...)
