An orangey – aromatic chypre, which - having a floral heart - has a dandified feel, but it never rises above ‘… this smells like … Moustache? … New York? Beau Brummel’s cravat?’ … i.e. generic.
Then it dries down – quite soon – to a musky orange, with an
(admittedly) excellent old musk, but barely more than that in the
afterglow.
It’s interesting to see how orangey notes were handled in the days before 1 Million et al, but other than that, this is probably too Old School to be worn as a regular frag. (Whatever that might be…)
