This is my Oud.
Where should I start...
Actually, I usually steer clear of oud fragrances. Most of the time, they are just too intense for me, smelling like "cow shed," as a perfumer once told me. Since then, my nose can't help but smell the same thing.
However, the Finom Istálló Extrait de Parfum caught my attention. Yes, it has that familiar DNA, no need to beat around the bush... Ombre Nomade sends its regards.
BUT: Something happens over time that I didn't expect.
When spraying it, it really has a peculiar scent. I immediately thought: "Oh oh, another typical oud-breaker... But just five minutes later, something completely different unfolds on the fabric. The fragrance really kicks in, in the best sense. Suddenly, raspberry, vanilla, and even cinnamon come through much clearer, warmer, and more elegant. It doesn't become too heavy and envelops you with a gentle, warm aura that is, in my opinion, perfectly sufficient. Not as overwhelming as with ON, but also not too light. The fragrance thus feels very harmonious and high-quality. Simply perfectly balanced.
This is a scent that definitely brings joy in the cold season. You could wear it very well for dates or romantic evenings. It's not too much, just right. And yes. Even though it is "not too much," it will fill entire rooms.
Conclusion: For someone like me, who generally doesn't like oud fragrances at all, the Finom Istálló Extrait de Parfum is an absolute game changer. My nose still needs to get used to the first spray, but once that's over, I just want to swim in the fragrance. So extremely warm, so heartfelt, simply incredibly beautiful.
